Edit. Original review below. I have recommended these to my sister who was becoming so stiff she was in danger of being mistaken for a tree. A few days on and she called in a state of shock. It had only just struck her that she had trotted down the stairs that morning without even thinking about it. A week or so in, she forgot to take them for a few days. Stiffness came back. Lesson learned. Now, they are part of her daily routine. In the light of spreading joy, she recommended them to a friend who suffered from appalling neck pain. This poor woman could only turn her head so far and she was in constant agony. She had spent a fortune on chiropractors, gold injections and had even been advised to have an operation on her neck (thank goodness she said no), all to no avail. I have the knees of a 90-year-old and the 90-year-old isn't happy. Neither am I! I love walking, but lately I find I'm doing more of a shuffle, interspersed with loud moaning and groaning. The noise is particularly bad whenever I have to bend down for something; the bending down is bad enough, but the getting back up is torture. My husband keeps moaning about me moaning - I may have to kill him. Anyway, it wasn't always like this. Once upon a time, I used to leap out of bed in the morning like a gazelle and, shortly after, dash down the stairs two-at-a-time. Now, I inch my way out of the bed doing a kind of sideways shufty, whilst scrabbling for the carpets with my toes. Then, when I'm finally upright (to the sound track of the aforementioned moans and groans), I walk sideways down the stairs like a crab, whilst holding onto the banisters for dear life. Or, at least I did. You see I knew the cure - Green Lipped Mussel - I'd had them before, but had run out of them and been too lazy to re-order. Big mistake! Like I said before, I may have to kill him, but not until I've taken out a whacking great insurance policy. So, I ordered the GLMs again and, sure enough, in a matter of days my knees stopped creaking, my back stopped groaning, my hip stopped telling me I was no longer sixteen and should give up the dancing and any sudden movements. And I stopped swearing every time I moved. I have made up my mind NEVER to run out of these again (like I can run, anyway!) and vowed always to have a supply on hand. I have also bought some for my 29-year-old son, who I'm sorry to say is falling apart at the seams. Back, legs, ribs, everything is giving him grief. Except for me. I bought these for Mum, who has been taking a green lipped mussel supplement or similar for years. As the previous brand was no longer available, I got her these, and she's very happy with them. She loves the slimline packaging as well: easy for delivery and storage. At 81, her joints are in really good shape and this is a supplement that she swears by.

My 8 year old Heinz 57/german shepherd started having shoulder joint problems in August, this got steadily worse to the point she was unable to do long walks with us. I tried Glucosamine first and after 2 months saw no improvement, she was just getting stiffer. So after reading the reviews on Amazon for GLM, I started her on a dose of 500mg per day. I am a nautral cynic but I am happy to report after 2 weeks she has greatly improved, almost fluid in her walking. I will continue this treatment plus they share a tin of sardines in tomatoes sauce everyday on their biscuits for the fish oils. I might have to increase the dosage of GLM in the future but I am delighted with the results.

Like others on here I bought these for my Dog. He is a 15+ year old Lurcher and his back end has gone and was very 'arched' showing his discomfort. He has been on these capsules for around ten days and I feel there is a definite improvement in the way he moves and he is no longer 'arched'. He only has a short walk at lunchtime and he seems to be a bit more interested in his surroundings so walking is a lot easier for him. I think when I get the 'aches' I'll ask if I can share his medication;-)) Edited. Unfortunately Bob the Lurcher was PTS last week and I decided to try these myself. I'm a fairly active 70 year old and after a week on these capsules I can already feel the difference in my joints and getting up is getting easier and bending as well. What is really good though is that I now know that the last few weeks of Bobs life was a little easier because of these capsules and that means a great deal to me. Update:- just bought my second lot so very pleased with the results ;-))

This product is the best pain relief for sufferers of arthritic type pain, I have friends who have managed to come off strong analgesics for joint problems after two weeks on green lippid mussel capsules. I have taken them for many years to avoid stiffness in joints & find them easy to swallow, with no real fishy taste at all even though they are 100 percent green lipped mussel. I cannot talk more highly of this company's product as its made in UK & is far superior to many others that have bulking agents added that weakens the strength. TRUST ME THIS REALLY WORKS

Been taking for less than a month and seem to be working. Pain has eased considerably. 4 stars rather than 5 as still early days. Easy to take and swallow and I give one a day to my dog and she seems much better in mobility too. Recommend - these are definitely worth a go
