Difficult to set up and operate
First time I have written a review as an amazon user of 20 years. But I need to save you guys some money.Product feels and looks cheap plastic and flimsy. Instructions were poorly written and difficult to understand. No instructions on how the sim should be inserted (i.e which way around - its chip side up btw). Once up and running was unreliable and did not send a signal back most of the time even when in an area of good mobile reception or with clear sky. Save your money. I am returning my tracker.

Great product
Had many GPS devices in the past and this is by far the best and the cheapest. Easy to setup using Giffgaff just need to send a few texts to device from mobile. Only uses a little data per month and has the option of texting device for location if data signal is poor. Battery usage is around 5-10% per day without led light.

This GPS tracker works and gives peace of mind
I had read the mixture of good and bad reviews for this tracker, but decided to take the plunge (18th June 2018. A year ago at the time of writing this review). My own experience is, it works very well and I find the app to be the best way to operate it rather than SMS TXTs, although I initially set it up via SMS. I didn't find it too tricky to understand the instructions. I read it a couple times before setting it up.Whatever you do, DO NOT put your Device phone number in the Contact number section. I made that mistake and it got caught in a loop sending TXTs to itself and draining my credit and causing an auto-top-up. I resolved this by taking my sim offline for a few weeks. I also turned off auto-top-up to be on the safe side.I own an electric bike and worry about leaving it unattended even though I use 3 U-Locks. So far it has not been stolen, but thanks to this tracker's Vibration feature, I was alerted during an NHS appointment and dashed out to find someone trying to steal the battery from the bike. He scarpered when he saw me, but he wouldn't have gotten past the lock. Fortunately he only disconnected the e-bike battery connector.I keep the tracker concealed under my rack on the rear of the bike and and I don't use the supplied clamps as it's too easy to remove. This is my only criticism of the tracker. I improvised with my own screws and clamp which I salvaged from a U-Lock. (I did contact the seller of the tracker for the guage size, but they didn't respond, but I sussed that for myself). As for the SMS provider, I saw most people use GiffGaff, but I found 1pMobile to be the most cost effective provider. They say: "Our only requirement is that you top-up by £10 at least once every 120 days. All unused credit rolls over, so you never lose it." I have found them to be true their word, and I have accrued a lot of roll over credit, as it mostly uses 1p a day as it calls home via data once a day. I get a small number alerts when I'm using the bike with no need to worry, thanks to the mass of rolled over credit. At £10 every 4 months, you can't go wrong. You can buy 1pMobile 2G SIM card - pre-loaded with £10 credit on Amazon. The 1pMobile website is easy to navigate and you can disable the sim should you need to do so.For me, this is one of my better purchases, at least for as long as the 2G network remains in operation. I hope it will survive the 5G revolution. I will do a follow up in another 12 months.UPDATE:Over a year and a half in constant use, my tracker is still working well. I was also pleased to discover that the huge amount of credit rolled over on my 1pmobile sim, can be used to buy further credit. This tracker still ranks as one of my better purchases.

Works amazing well. Easily removed/stolen though with quick release pins.
Works amazing well.I disassembled this from the plastic casing and have put it into my frame of my E-bike as it can be quite simple to remove. It has quick release pins.If a thief knows about this product then say goodbye to your bike. P.S i used crocodile clips on the antenna to clip to the metal frame of my bike for better signal if stolen. Battery life is approx 30 days on power saving mode which is reasonable.

Excellent piece of equipment
This is a great piece of kit. Works a treat and would highly recommend if you wanted a concealed tracker on your bicycle. Battery lasts approx.14 days. The software works great too with the ability to set geo fences and log routes you have been on your bicycle.Do not over tighten the plastic 1/2 bracket around the saddle stem as I did, it went "crack" and snapped in two. Luckily, I own a 3D printer and was able to redesign and 3D print a "beefed" up version of the bracket. All now good

It works
I have no problem with the manual, although I did put the SIM in incorrectly first time. I have 5 x of these series of products, they all work the same. Good for the price.

GPS Fence
Having lost two high end bikes and initially fixing it by buying a Spylamp from Integrated trackers but their after sales service was non existant. Yunang however were fantastic the unit arrived and would not power up because the battery was faulty- they replaced the whole unit within two hours of the complaint. I have found the GPS fence invaluable - once the bike goes outside the fence I am sent a SMS alarm and then I can track with the TKstar app- great bit of kit.

Achiebes the bare minimum but not sure worth the price
It does the basics of what it is supposed to do but the bracket broke within a month of use and I could not reach them for any kind of support on that, not by phone, email or WhatsApp (it turns out it's a GoPro Bracket so you can replace, it took a lot of research and accidental search results for me to find that out though). The manual is awful and the app does not seem to work. I'm not entirely sure it was worth £40, I hope more user friendly technology emerges to track stolen bikes.
