Love, love, love this telescopic curtain pole. And it's sturdy! I was sceptical. Initially I was happy to purchase this item because it only needed to hold the weight of a muslin material curtain, very light, across my front living room window. I received it, well packaged, easy instructions for use, and installation was easy. Having a heavier, lined curtain, width 90"/228cms, and a drop 90"/228cms, I wasn't convinced the pole would hold the weight. But I took a chance, and it's worked out perfect. Two thumbs up from me!

Great quality, nice and strong if the rod is level and adjusted correctly. For such a compact and discrete fixture, it is highly functional, offering a rather generous drying capacity when used with suitable hangers. Thanks to the slim profile, it can be easily stored away when not in use. I have successfully used this rod to dry machine washed laundry as well as to drip dry hand wash items and wet coats. As you can see from the photo, the rod is mounted across an 86cm aperture and can handle 6 thick towels and 2 tea towels, all are damp and just removed from the washing machine. Unlike those typical foldable laundry racks that are footprint hungry when unfolded and too bulky for storage, this tension rod doesn't congest any floor space and demands hardly any storage space. The adjustment is pretty easy but the instructions could be made more clearly for less DIY savvy users. This may sound silly to some people, but it is important to note that if you want to adjust the length after the rod has been locked, you must twist it the opposite direction to UNLOCK before sliding the rod to the desired length. Twisting of the rod to lock & unlock must be made only to the section with the sticker, this is the MALE rod. The rod can sometimes be tricky to unlock. If you encounter this issue, you need to create grip by wrapping each rod end with a rubber band and then twist. Although the rod comes with anti slip caps, they are sometimes not grippy enough and the rod can still slide slowly when it is not installed 100% level and also loaded with excess weight. To increase the grip, I have glued the ends with rubbery material for lining kitchen cupboard. UPDATE: Having experimented with this rod for a bit, I realise there is a weight limitation. For my aperture of 86cm, I believe the maximum weight this rod can handle before collapsing is one more damp towel. ( About 7 thick towels is max). I have tried to add a few more but the rod slid down slowly and collapsed after about 15 minutes.

Using this as a shower curtain rail and needed something that was the entire width of my bathroom which limited me quite a bit but this is perfect. Came in relatively basic packaging so little waste and was super easy to install as the instructions are printed right on the pole itself. The chrome finish looks great and the pole has rubber stops on the end as described to avoid damage to the wall. EDIT: after having this for a few months now, I would just like to note that the chrome has started to rust so knocking down from 5 to 4 stars

I use it on 180 cm with light curtains and it does perfectly as a gate for my walk-in wardrobe. It can even carry heavier curtains like blinds or eyelets so area of use is not limited to shower etc. Quality is very good and it has a solid grip, recommended.

Edit... This shower pole has now been in place for exactly 5 years and hasn't fallen down once. It has got brown marks on it which may be rust, but I don't mind that too much as it cleans off relatively well. And it's the only shower pole I've ever had which has been in place for a full 5 years! I love this shower pole. We live in a rented house and needed a shower curtain to replace the glass screen that kept leaking water onto the floor. So my landlords put up a cheap tension pole and it fell down after a week and for whatever reason I couldn't get it to lock back into place. So we considered this one, but it was quite expensive (around £18 when I bought it) so I was dubious as to whether it was going to be a waste of money or not. However, the reviews persuaded me to buy it, so we did. It was easy to put up, and 4 or 5 months later it hasn't fallen down once!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Don't however, buy the C shaped curtain rings that apparently go with it as they don't fit and they snap.

These poles are the bee's knees! Very attractive, very sturdy and very easy to fit. I have hung my new quilted thermal door curtains off them, and can confidently slide the curtains open / closed at will without the slightest concern that the pole will end up on my head, along with the curtains... There is no point in ordering cheaper, flimsier versions - I've learnt this to my cost! If you attempt to hang anything heavier than a piece of paper off those, you can expect to be regularly picking both the curtains and the rail up from from the floor.

I received this in early Sep2019 and installed it with ease . The product design , locking mechanism etc are near perfect as it hasn’t moved once installed . However over last two months the Stainless steel rail developed rust when designed to be fitted in the shower room . I have received a refund from Amazon who took its liability for idesign and not sure if it is my piece being a manufacturing defect . Those of you have installed please do revert if you are seeing the same problem as I need to buy a replacement .

Cette barre est tout simplement un indispensable ! J’ai trouvé une utilisation géniale en la plaçant au-dessus de la porte de mes WC pour y accrocher un rideau et préserver mon intimité. Fini les regards indiscrets de mon voisin d’en face ! 😄🚪 Mais revenons à cette barre : rien à redire, c’est un bon article ! J’en suis totalement satisfaite et voici pourquoi : • Installation facile : après avoir saisi le principe, le montage est un jeu d’enfant (même si être à deux est plus pratique). • Stabilité garantie : depuis son installation il y a presque 5 mois, elle n’a pas bougé d’un millimètre. • Style élégant : le fini chromé apporte une touche chic à ma salle de bain. • Résistante à la rouille : contrairement aux rumeurs, pas la moindre trace de rouille, même après plusieurs mois. Juste un peu de calcaire et de poussière (comme on peut le voir sur les photos). 💧👌 Pour des projections d’eau minimales, placez-la bien au-dessus de la douche. 🚿🌬️ Niveau prix, pour cette qualité c’est totalement acceptable. I needed a curtain to block out light in the mornings so I can sleep. I wasn't sure if this curtain rod would work without affecting the function of the Venetian blinds behind it. When I first put the curtain rod up it did make it hard to pull the blinds up and down, but as you can see in the second picture I pulled the curtain rod slightly outward from the window frame. This left enough room for the blinds to work properly and the curtain rod still stayed up. I've had it up for a few weeks and it hasn't fallen down, I'm really pleased. I think as long as you follow the instructions right and you're positioning the curtain rod between two flat surfaces it should be fine.

- Very good product. - It seems to me that most of the people who had issues with this product maybe they did not spend the time to get used with the way the twisting works. You twist it (holding the rod with one hand on one of the pipes while twisting the other one) in one direction (i.e. clockwise or counterclockwise) to lock it and in the opposite direction to release the lock. When it is released you can adjust the length by extending the to about 1 in longer than the space where you need to install it. Then you lock it. Then you put on end against the wall and push on the other end to compress the spring inside in such a way that it fits where you want to install it. - You can repeat the lock/unlock procedure as many times as you need to get the adjustment that you want. - Also, I found helpful an advice that someone wrote in another review. For example: my tub is 58 in long. I could have used the rod with the size 43-75 in. But I chose the rod with 50-87 in size in order to avoid the situation where the two pipes, which are making up the rod, have their joining point in the middle of the rod. Maybe not a big deal, but I found it easier to have that "bump" in the rod located on one side so that the curtain slides more smoothly in the middle part. - The rod is holding the curtain very well and has enough strength to allow me to put my towel on it too, after I am done with my shower. - This is probably one of the best rods that you can install in minutes and avoid complications related with drilling the tiles and using screws in your bathroom.

Diese Rezension bezieht sich auf die Länge "109cm bis 190cm": Da ich in eine neue Wohnung gezogen bin, musste nun auch eine Duschvorhangstange her, damit ich nicht bei jedem Duschen mein Bad überflute. Ich persönlich bin jedoch kein Fan vom ständigen Bohren, vor allem nicht in einer Mietwohnung und als ich diesen Artikel nun auf Amazon gefunden habe, wollte ich es probieren, ob es wirklich hält oder nicht. Verpackung: Wie gewohnt war die Lieferung als Prime-Kunde sehr schnell und der Artikel auch gut verpackt, so dass er ohne Schaden bei mir zu Hause ankam. Beim Auspacken viel mir sofort die hochwertige Verarbeitung und der edle Lock, erzeugt durch die Edelstahloptik, auf. Leider musste ich aber auch feststellen, dass an einem Ende ein Aufkleber mit der Montageanleitung angebracht ist, welcher sich leicht lösen lässt, jedoch Kleberückstände zurückbleiben. Hier muss man also nochmals nacharbeiten und die Stange mit diversen Reinigern putzen. Da die selbe Montageanleitung in der Verpackung selber auch beiliegt, sollte man sich den Aufkleber selber lieber sparen, da es für den Kunden nur Nachteile mit sich bringt. Montage: Die Montage ist kinderleicht: Stange auf den benötigten Abstand plus circa 3cm einstellen und festdrehen. Danach den Vorhang einhängen und die Stange durch Zusammendrücken an der gewünschten Stelle befestigen. Fertig. Da die Stangenenden gummiert sind, entstehen keine Beschädigungen der Wand, wodurch man auch im Nachhinein noch nacharbeiten und die Duschvorhangstange bewegen kann. Dauereinsatz: Als ich die Stange im Internet gesehen habe, war ich noch sehr skeptisch, ob sie denn überhaupt hält. Nach nun einem halben Jahr im Einsatz bin ich jedoch durchwegs überrascht. Auch bei nassen Badetücher, welche ich zum Trocknen zusätzlich darüber befestigt habe, viel mir nichts auf den Kopf, wodurch ich nur eine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen kann. Neulich hat sich auch ein weiterer Vorteil erwiesen, denn als der Boiler, welcher in der Badewanne befestigt ist, getauscht werden musste, musste auch für kurze Zeit die Stange weichen. Dies ging aufgrund der einfachen Montage und somit auch Demontage sehr schnell, was auch den Installateur ins Staunen versetzt hat. Deshalb eine klare Kaufempfehlung und 5 Sterne!

Cumple con su cometido y es de fácil instalación, tiene una construcción muy sólida. En cada extremo tiene gomas de plástico que evitan que se deslice en la pared y el mecanismo de sujeción es seguro no se ha movido desde que lo coloque. No se deben colgar cosas pesadas en él aunque uno este tentado ya que aunque posiblemente las aguante podría llegar a caerse.
