The tablet itself was of good quality and it arrived for Christmas
The tablet itself was of good quality and it arrived for Christmas, which I was very pleased about. The only problem with the tablet that I have is that it kept losing connection in the beginning, but once I managed to figure out why then it worked well. The set up of it was quick and easy for me (I work in IT), but my family wasn't able to connect to it and required help quite a lot with it in the beginning.

Interesting concept and will update on this review later
Interesting concept andI think you're limited to using a5 paper. My only criticism is the constant warnings that pop up on the imagink app about magnetic interference. I think its for precaution so you don't end up destroying your slate with items that are magnetic . I read all the instructions and did the setup correctly, yet every 10 mins or so the drawing program would pop up with a warning about a magnetic item disrupting the drawing process on my slate. Im not sure about this but I think you are limited to drawing on an a5 paper which I am slowly getting used to.Its still too early for me to give a thorough review on the slate but Im still getting used to this device, as this is my first time operating a graphics tablet. The reason I purchased this tablet was for the detachable ring feature which I found pretty cool. It also has an inbuilt Wacom feature which requires a graphic pen with a separate purchase . As I stated before I have never used any form of a Wacom Tablet before so this is all very new to me.I am using the slate to draw fashion sketches which I would like to import onto my instagram account . which saves time instead of tracing and scanning each and every individual sketch that I create.I am undecided about how I feel about the slate but i will update on this review later on. So far its great I just need to remeber not to put magnetic items around the Slate when I am using it.The Iskn Company are quick to respond to any queries which is great.

Not what I expected
Works well, however if the pad is upside down the image on the screen is too, it is quite hard to get used to as a complete novice,I can imagine with practice it will be ok. Quite small, more for logo and office type work, once the pen is added and the paper got rid off it works great as a pad to colour your work through photoshop

Good idea needs A LOT more development
I am a designer who is comfortable drawing with both wacom and paper, I thought the slate seemed like the perfect way to add my paper sketches to the computer seamlessly without constantly scanning in and re sizing. There are some companies in fashion design that only work with jpegs and need them on computer. After experimenting for an hour with it, I've found it's compatible with the Mac and works ok with this. Occasionally disconnects . When finished making a mark / drawing you have to lift the pen very high away from the slate otherwise you're left with a trail. There seems to be a lot of mention of tho magnetic interference on here which apparentlt causes this ..... but I don't think that is the case when everything was the suggested 20cm away from the slate! However it Works intermittently with the Samsung 9, continually disconnects and the app crashes , as there is no auto save feature within the app as there is near versions of illustrator and Photoshop, you loose all your work. Even though the phone has been available for nearly a year it still is not " officially compatible " was the answer I got from iskn, this is not official as they haven't tested it all over the world πOn the phone I was using the app to trace and line draw a photograph, so when the app crashes I had half a line drawing on paper, then trying to 're size the photo again to fit similar size to previous it wasn't do able. Now left with a half finished drawing and I'm now writing this review annoyed !I didn't think the a5 limitation would bother me but it is, if the slate was a4 size this would be more practicalThere also isn't a graphic tablet pen with this set, you need to buy separately. I didn't realise the pen I had wasn't a tablet pen as it didn't work until I'd drawn on the tablet for about 10mins ! Then it started showing working!I'm going to give it a few more tries but as a lot of these reviews I will probably be returning it. It's expensive when you think a wacom a5 is Β£50-Β£70 , the sensitivity and pressure is all there just have to look at the screen and use realistic brushes on Photoshop. The slate comes up very expensive for it's actual capability and needs more work on it to make it seamless. A good toy for novices but for professionals at the moment the slate doesn't cut it.

Neat little stylus tablet
I'll be honest - I thought when I ordered this that it had a digital display as well as the paper rest drawing surface. In the past, when the position of my stylus isn't where the digital image appears and updates, I have struggled. However, this tablet was a delight to use with its stylus, even without the ease of a digital display. The pressure responsiveness made it easy to feel where I was drawing at the same time as watching the screen, and the option to record sketches into your computer as you draw onto paper is a great innovation.Definitely a very useful addition to my digital art workflow.
