🚴♂️ Ride with Confidence!
The Prometheus Stabilisers are designed for children's bikes with axle lengths of 12 to 18 inches. Made from durable steel with rubber wheels, they provide a stable and silent riding experience. Perfect for parents seeking safety and reliability, these stabilisers are easy to install and compatible with most children's bikes.

Excellent
This stabiliser actually keeps the bike stable and allows bike to turn. Last one I had from Argos which has arms to keep the wheel arms stable, bent like butter sticks. This one is sturdy and works you just have to install it correctly. The wheels have to be at the level of the back wheel of the bike, so that the 3 contact the ground at the same time, other wise the back tyre will just spin on the spot.Installation also has a tolerance of probably a mm. On first glance I thought the bike axle was too short to allow the bolts to connect the stabilisers to the bike but once I finger tightened, then with a spanner the bolt screwed on tightly, leaving 0 mm of the axle thread to spear. This is he best on the market made with the right metal, though I think most would be better taking to a bike shop for it to be installed.

Ticks every box!
By far the best find on the market! I was searching for a stabiliser set with rubber treads, these are nice and quiet when being trundled along the pavement/cul de sac. They are constructed from a thicker metal with a brace that doesn't buckle when sideways momentum is applied. Certainly won't be needing a replacement set unlike my eldest.UPDATED on 23/03/2017. Unfortunately this item has taken a good hammering by the youngest son riding around the road. The left hand wheels bearing has collapsed loosing all the balls and the thin centre has folded inward. See attached image of the problem. I am seeking an engineering company to replicate the centre out of one piece of steel and have a sintered bronze bush press fitted for the shaft of the bolt. I will replace the other side too.

Undecided
Didn't feel was very sturdy, im willing to hold my hands up and say I think it was slightly damaged but as I was in the middle of moving house by the time I opened parcel it was way over the date for returning so I tried to use them regardless.

Flatly disappoints in providing smooth rolling support to Kids Bike
The media could not be loaded. Looking at the product specs and description, this product was supposed to offer a solid and robust support to kids. Unfortunately, it is wobbly, noisy, unstable and hard. The more frustrating part is that it does not fit well to the bike and as you can see in the video, makes the tyre slip time and again. This does not deliver anything better than the cheap plastic ones available in the market. Really disappointed with the performance of this stabilizer.

A solid contender
The best I have tested. I had to send the plastic wheel ones back. This is made of metal and has a rubber tread on each wheel. It fitted my daughters bike perfectly and not really any assembly. No real instructions but you don't need them, it's that easy. Nice and solid with no worrie of it shattering.

Don’t fit
Didn’t fit a 20” mountain bike bought for my daughters birthday tomorrow, really disappointed. The gears on the back wheel make it unsuitable.
