Still fighting the beggars off
Over lockdown I cultivated seedlings from mangoes bought in the supermarket. All ten of them - I like mangoes- are (were) coming along just fine until the dreaded fungus gnats invaded. I'd used one bottle of this in less than a month, thought I'd got the better of the beasts so ordered another two bottles do be safe. Then the odd one or two pests kept appearing, Apparently the eggs can take 10 days to hatch so I'm waiting for a clear 10 day period before the cloche comes off them and they can be out of quarantine to sunbathe on the windowsill. If we get any sunshine, that is. I don't think this stuff is as strong as other stuff I've had in the past, but it's hard to to find the strength anywhere these days as companies try to make less toxic products. Environment and all that. And don't get me started about toilets and their miniscule flushes, which are unfit for purpose. I'd better stop there before a proper rant gets going.

Works really well but treat all plants at same time!
Seen any tiny black flies that look like Midges cross your line of sight? Yes? Then you have Thrips! This is the real deal for Thrips!!! They are a mega pest & so hard to get rid of, I have never found anything that does the job before. There's no toxic smell with this spray plus it is organic a major consideration when u have pets that like to chew plants! I have about 15 plants so not sure i'll ever be able to get rid of the Thrips all together because I'm not able to treat them all at the same time but I have decreased their number drastically. Before treatment me & my poor cats were being bitten to bits but the bites were tiny & didn't itch for long. Having checked for fleas (indoor cats so not likely) etc I had to look far and wide for the answer....... THRIPS! Any plant you buy can have the Eggs or Larva of this nasty little bug but you can only see the adults when they are in flight! The Eggs & at the 2 other stages of their life cycle, they are completely invisible! The only signs once an infestation has reach a certain point is a 'Silvering wasleaves, withering of leaves & a generally sadish looking plant' The adult flies are so fast that you're not always sure you even saw it!! Don't believe anyone who say' s they are harmless because they do bite you always where your skin is thinist but they often try to bite through tougher skin & that feels like a needle prick & it does hurt! My poor cats were driven nuts with this invisible enemy. Pleased to say the thrips are now under control but please follow the instructions, spraying once is not enough. Also my neighbour had Red Spider Mites and it got rid of them as well.UPDATE - when I went to reorder I found a cheaper product based on the same Chrysanthemum organic treatment BUT it was more like poison, it smelt terrible, I nearly choked on it & it was not as effective as the VITAX spray so from now on i won' t be looking for alternatives!

This is supposed to be 100% organic???
How can this be organic when it says harmful to bee's and Aquatic life...Fish. If it is harmful to them surely it is harmful to Human Beings. It says safe to eat next day. Says on the container 7 days before harvest. All sorts of health warning on the container so not as safe as advertised in the product description. I am very reluctant to use this on edibles....maybe OK for ornamental s...but not in open flower as it kills Bee's! I do not believe this should be sold with this Product description because it does not say the same on the product container.

great
Arrived very quickly. This bug killer is brilliant. Some of the plants in my conservatory were covered in greenfly, whitefly and those pesky thrips. I only sprayed them once, and they are all dead! I used it as directed and sprayed the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves. I took my plants outside to do it so it didn't go all over my windows. And the next day they were all dead. You have to spray again about 7 days later. But I am very impressed so far.
