I really believe that it works well. Our hallway had odors (which I think originated in my old carpeting). I tried vacuuming with scented baking powder, spraying with deodorizer, etc., and nothing worked. I then bought a few of the smaller Fresh Waves and now keep them filled by using the large refill size. It doesn't mask the odor, but removes it. Haven't had an odor in a few months. Also, this Fresh Wave scent only has a scent (a pleasant one) if your nose is very close to it.

All that to say, if you’re looking for strong fragrance, this isn’t it. This is subtle and clean smelling. It is not overpowering. And that’s exactly why it works for me. I had previously been using another brand of similar product, but ran out and needed something with same day delivery. This product is less expensive, and honestly more effective than that name brand. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and NO pet smells!! I am very happy and will be buying again.

I purchased this to help remove the skunk smell in the house after our dog got sprayed. It's made no difference. A very expensive product that does not live up to the expectations.

Not sure what happened with this batch - maybe expired. I ordered this previously from a difference supplier and it masked odours well. For some reason, the minty smell in this one is not as strong as the last one. I use these for my litter robot waste drawer and despite refilling when necessary, this is not working at all and when I smelt the gel it had no scent anymore. I will not be buying this again considering it is not working and price is expensive at $66. Update: I got this 4 months ago and keep the refill closed and stored under my washroom sink. I opened it and there is almost no mint smell at all coming from the original refill container. Again with the batch I bought from another supplier, the mint smell was strong until I used it up completely which was just over a year. Complete waste of money and I will not buy again.

I’ve used this product for years. I put some in a mason jar and open it while cooking spicy ethnic food and boom! All odor is fully absorbed. No longer smell on furniture whatsoever. In the car of smokers, boom. Smell gone. In the cabinet where spices or garbage reside, No odor. Love that it just absorbs the odor with no toxic chemicals and just dissipates over time. I can’t imagine being without it!

Got this for our smelly teenager son’s room. No seriously that bad! And it did take a few days... but the smell of a men’s sweaty disgusting locker room has now toned down to maybe smell more like a regular boys room. So I’m pretty happy with it. The only thing I don’t get is... I put the gel beads into small containers and the beads turn a gross brown so maybe don’t put them in a glass jar like me...

I love this product. I don't often write reviews but I wanted to offer a different opinion from those who think it stinks. I live in an older home so sometimes that can be a challenge. But Fresh Wave really helps. We put it out in different spots around and on numerous occasions visitors have said how nice the house smells. I like it because it doesn't smell artificial. I am sensitive to strong smells and I love this product.
