KitchenCraft Lobster Claws - Fun, Novel and Really Useful For Seafood Lovers
Funky red looking lobster crackers a well known brand and a fun looking but also so useful item if your a lover of seafood. The only thing I would say is that these are not dishwasherproof, sadly handwash only. At least no hurt hands trying to open up any lobster which from experience I can say hurts like heck without using a handy tool like this. So washing by hand not such a big chore. These come on card and omg the plastic wrapping around them, yes you definitely need a sharp pair of scissors to open them and just make sure you don’t scratch them in the process I very nearly did.

Cracking good buy!
Just come back from Dominican where we eat loads of lobster and crab so we thought we would like to try some at home. These crackers are perfect for cracking shellfish and are fun so you can try lobster and crab in the comfort of your own home!

Not great
OK for some parts of the lobster but not strong enough to crack claws. Had to revert to usual method of bashing with a knife and an old rolling pin

A very reasonably priced product which would be a good asset to any budding chef's kitchen
These crackers are very robust but need to be washed by hand! I have not tried them out yet on any crustaceans or nuts to see how well they cope with different sizes of claws. However, if they don't do the job I will resort to a small hammer or even a metal spoon which is what at least one well known celebrity chef uses! A very reasonably priced product which would be a good asset to any budding chef's kitchen.

SPECTACULARLY POOR!!!!
Having friends who work in the local food industry we are lucky enough to be able to get seafood at a relatively modest price, so we’ve been able to indulge a little with crab legs and langoustines. As such, I decided to crab a pair of these crackers for future use. Tonight was one of those occasions, sadly, this item failed spectacularly! With lobster on our plates I rushed to get these crackers out of the draw, deliriously happy that I was finally going to give them a whirl to get myself some of that sweet, sweet claw meet without resorting to a hammer. Sadly, these crackers were simply not up to the task. The blurb claims that these are slip free, they’re nothing of the sort, they are highly slippy. Once you do manage to get purchase on anything, these things don’t even put a dent in anything. We had to resort to the hammer. As the saying goes “You get what you pay for”. That said, they look the part, and I imagine they’ll be ok on crab legs, but on claws or anything with a bit of thickness? Not a chance.

Maybe not for crab or lobster
Haven't tried it out yet, but maybe these would be fine for Langoustine. Neither I nor my guests could crack crab claws with them. We resorted to a combo of the old nut cracker types and an old silver tablespoon - so well used it now has a flat base! These look quite good - but not the tools to use for big crab claws or decent sized lobsters I fear.
