Although our first attempt at making Feuerzangenbowle was not 100% succesful this was in no way due to the pot. It looks the part and although the sugar cone holder was missing, it was dispatched as soon as possible after the holidays.

Bought this as we love to make 'glow wine' around fall and winter season and thought we'd take it to the next level. After simmering the wine with seasonings in a pot on the stove, we pre-warmed the main bowl with a candle and added the wine. Everyone got excited as we poured the Navy rum onto the zucker hut. The anticipation reached a fever pitch, we turned off the lights, and ignited the strong liquor. The sugar crackles and sizzles, glowing an iridescent blue as the sugar bubbles and falls into the wine concoction. Yes, the kit is expensive, but it was WELL worth it to impress our dinner guests and we will use it for years to come.The bowl is quite sturdy and everything about it seems pretty well made.

I ordered this on November 7. Arrived November 15. Considering this came from Germany, I was very pleased. It came exactly as described (it is just like the picture; that's why no photo), sits level and looks great! Haven't used it yet, but looking forward to doing so.

The delivery was very quick and undamaged. Very pleased. Only little downside was that one of the items was previously used and it is not up to standard to send a used item out as new. The lid and bowl had (water) stains and the candle holder had candle wax all over it. Disappointing but we needed them quick and the items were in good order and useable. Seeing that the price has doubled now I wonder ...
