I've had no luck in cooking dosas on a large cast iron skillet. I wasn't really looking for a tava until I found this, at substantial discount, while trolling Warehouse Deals. It comes with a wooden spatula, a scrubber and a recipe book. I'm a rank amateur when it comes to dosas , though it's a favourite snack I've seen made and eaten many times in India. This tava does an excellent job of cooking my messy efforts and the dosa slides right off when crisp. Practise , practise!This is a simple, quality product. Coincidentally, I have a Hawkins stainless steel pressure cooker which I used and brought home from India 21 years ago. It's been in constant use since then and is still on its original lid seal, so I'm confident in the quality of Hawkins products.

Cleans up easily after use, and cooks very evenly on my electric stove top.
