It didn't work for what I was wanting it for but I knew it was a long shot. Other than that, it works fine. A steady hand is nice.

I can't recall the last time I have given a five-star review for any product purchased on Amazon. With so many different vendors, very brief and non-specific descriptions and the multitude of issues related to products manufactured in China... there is almost no chance to say "this is exactly what I expected". Well, this item is exactly what I expected! It is a low-cost, rotary engraver with carbide tippedd burrs. It functions perfectly, fits nicely in one's hand and easily engraves / edges every material I've encountered including chrome. They obviously made a judgment call regarding the size whether to use AAA or AA batteries. My preference would be to go larger for better battery life. But I can't argue with the fact that it fits the hand perfectly. The end of the battery housing has a custom molded grip with the momentary on power switch. With the present size, it can be held very much like a pen. So I think they made the right call.
