These spinning rods are LEGIT!
Please, if you’re on the fence about purchasing a fishing rod, look no further. I would consider myself an amateur when it comes to getting back into fishing again. I was in the market for the best spinning rod I could get while keeping a budget of around $100 to build a nice summer bass fishing spinning combo. I liked that this rod was cork, and looked very nice in the product images. I read through many reviews and all were amazed by this fishing rod. I’ve never heard of the brand before but I couldn’t resist ordering one for only $60 bucks! Came VERY well packaged in a typical cylindrical tube. No damages or scratches on the graphite or cork. I ordered the 7 foot 2 piece medium spinning rod. Paired it with a white kastking crixus reel and 35 pound yellow braid on a 8 foot 15lb fluorocarbon leader. So here’s the deal : I was totally lost for words casting with this fishing rod. Casts incredibly smooth! Has the perfect amount of backbone while having a fast tip. The sensitivity of this fishing rod is unbelievable. The smallmouth bass fishing here on Lake Erie is in its prime and it’s not difficult to land 5 pound smallmouths. I fished this rod using a drop shot rig and casted from shore. This is by far the best fishing rod I’ve ever used for smallmouth fishing. Strong hook set, super durable, incredibly smooth, lightweight, sensitive, and is a blast to reel fish in with! It beats my KastKing perigee II bass rod all day long. This is my new favorite all around spinning rod! I’ve fished with my friends LEWS spinning combo he paid $350 dollars for and it doesn’t even compare to this spinning rod. Cadence has my respects in terms of fishing rods. Unbelievable quality at a fantastic price! If you didn’t order this spinning rod already, you’re wasting time!

Can't believe how light this rod is
I'm used to St Croix rods, but I bought a small solo canoe last year and have been fishing small, tight rivers/streams. After breaking a couple of 6.6 rods by not paying close enough attention to obstacles I decided to go less expensive and shorter and gave Cadence a try. I ordered the 6 ft, 2 piece light rod. It arrived very well packed in a strong paper tube. And the rod is inserted into round foam inserts at either end off the tube so it's not rattling around inside. I could not believe how thin and light the rod was. Paired with an old Shimano Stradic 2500 it feels nicely balanced. I took it for a spin shore fishing at a local pond and it seems to cast well enough; distance on par with my St. Croix rods. I haven't given it a serious workout yet, but the craftmanship appears to be sound. My only concern is the reel seat. The locking ring assembly feels fragile compared to my other rods. I'll be exercising extra care there, snugging it down very lightly and checking frequently to keep it snug. All in all, seems to be a very good deal and unless sustained use exposes issues with craftsmanship, I'll be buying more Cadence rods in the future. I do wish the light 2 piece had a fast action option.

A Quality Light Weight Rod That Won’t Disappoint
Great light weight rod that I paired with a Penn 3500 spinning reel and 17 pound test braided line. Handled flounder, sea trout, red and black drum effortlessly. I like the sensitivity and action for both bait and artificial lures. The rod performs exceptionally well and is very comfortable and reliable for both inshore and offshore fishing. The customer service staff were very considerate and even replaced a rod that suffered a broken tip while traveling free of charge. I liked the rod so much that I bought a second one for freshwater fishing. Great rod, great price and an organization that honors their product warranty by providing exceptional customer service support.

Excellent Quality and Perfect Father's Day Gift
I purchased the Cadence Fishing CR5 Spinning Rod as a Father's Day gift, and it was a huge hit! The rod is lightweight yet incredibly sturdy, made with 30-ton carbon, which makes it both sensitive and durable. The Fuji reel seat adds an extra level of quality and provides a secure fit for the reel. My dad was really impressed with how comfortable the rod is to hold, and it feels well-balanced in hand. The stainless steel guides with SiC inserts are fantastic for smooth line flow, minimizing friction and helping with long-distance casting. My dad used it on a few fishing trips, and he loved how the rod handled both light and heavier tackle with ease. The sensitivity of the rod makes it great for feeling those subtle bites, and the strength of the carbon construction allows him to confidently land bigger fish. It’s not only a high-performance rod but also looks sleek and stylish, making it a great addition to any angler’s collection. The quality and craftsmanship of this rod definitely make it worth the price. If you’re looking for a high-quality spinning rod that would make a great Father’s Day gift or any occasion, I highly recommend the Cadence CR5 Spinning Rod. It’s a fantastic choice for both beginner and seasoned anglers alike!

Awesome Rod
I’m a blue collar worker so I don’t want to waste my money; this rod is money well spent! I paired it with Penn Pursuit IV 3000 (HT-100 Carbon drag washers at a great value!) and 20lb Power Pro braided and it sings Zoom Super Flukes 5” on 3/4 oz. Jig heads all evening long without tiring my arm. It’s light, comfortable and has great action and power. There details on the rod make it feel above its price point (hook keeper, colorful thread detailing, neat saying written on handle). I tried Penn Wrath & Penn Pursuit lines, several Souligaylang setups (OneBass model isn’t bad for $70), Shakespeare Ugly Stik & KastKing (pole snapped immediately on 10th cast). This is an awesome rod and can take a beating and isn’t so expensive I feel bad about using it like the tool it is. Highly recommended.

The finest fishing rod I've ever handled. And it's only $50!!!
I admit that I was more than a little nervous about ordering a rod from a fairly young, and relatively obscure company like Cadence. But, it was the best purchase I've made in recent times for fishing kit. This rod is absolutely outstanding!!! I ordered the 6 ft 6 in 2 pc Light Power Moderate Fast action rod. When I first opened the box and simulated casting with it, I was worried about how "whippy" it was. But knowing how phenomenal Amazon customer service is, and how great their return policies are I figured, what's the worst that could happen? This rod is extremely light. Lighter than my beloved Fenwick Eagle. Every part of it feels premium. The balance is 2nd to none. So I mated my new Pflueger President reel (3000 size) to it and casted a few times with just a sinker attached to the line (the line I use now is Suffix Elite Mono.) It was better than I could've ever hoped for. It casts great distances seamlessly. I bought this rod on a whim right before my recent Trout trip out to Western MD in the fall of 2017. It performed perfectly. We caught nearly 100 trout in 3 days. This rod has quite a bit of bend in it under load, but it has More than enough back bone to haul nice fish in. In fact, I caught an 18 inch rainbow that weighed over 4 lbs on the trip. That fish was no match for my new rod and reel. I feel confident enough in this rod that I'd easily take it small mouth bass fishing. This this is a steal at $50! It could easily be priced between $80-120 and still be a deal. These are sleeper rods if there ever were such a thing. My one and only little gripe: the hook keeper. It's the bent, nearly flush type. I had a jig head or 2 pop off of it before I could reel in the slack to keep it in place. But hey, who cares? I cannot say enough positive things about this rod. If Cadence does this good of a job with rods, I'll have to make it a point to eventually try out their reels. You've made a believer out of me. I'll buy only Cadence rods from here on out. I'm going to outfit both my wife and my son with these rods from here on out. Side note: Cadence donates a portion of their sales to helping kids get out to fish. This is extremely important to me as a fisherman. This is also one of the reasons I decided to buy a piece of their gear. So go and buy a rod from them immediately!!!

Super nice rod but will not last
I was a little skeptical on what this rod could handle being it only costs $42, especially when I picked it up and it was so light it felt like it would break easily but I was not disappointed in the slightest, I got a 7' medium and a medium heavy with a kastking centron 3000 and Penn pursuit 2 4000 on the medium heavy, caught tons of bass on the medium with absolutely no issue and went flats fishing 2 slot rods, a snook, a couple catfish, one of which was around 8 lbs with the medium heavy, this rod made pulling them in no problem. I previously used a medium uglystik gx2 and this rod casts so much nicer, is way more sensitive and is much lighter and more comfortable and held up just as good. would definitely recommend Update: it has been like two years since I left my review and I ended up with three total cadence rods, the 7' medium and medium heavy and a cr7 rod, the cr7 rod broke the tip off after the third cast or so so I got a replacement under warranty and that one broke after like 5 casts, got a second replacement and that one also broke first time using it, so I opted for a refund and was refunded. Now during all these broken cr7 rods my cr5 medium rod broke in half after a few months, got that replaced and used it as my main inshore rod for about a year and a half and it was great. Well it just broke this past weekend halfway through my day of fishing, broke about two feet from the tip. The medium heavy I bought is the only one that never broke and is still currently holding up, the eyelets are very easy to bend so I gotta be careful with it but thats about my only gripe with that rod. Needless to say, I have only broken 5 fishing rods in my life while fishing and they were all these rods, so I will not be purchasing another one. I'm not even gonna bother getting my medium rod replace as it still has a year of warranty. Going out fishing with two rods (a heavy rod for big bait and a medium for artificials) and one of them keeps breaking while out on the water kinda ruins the whole fishing trip. Penn squadron rods are only $40-50 and are more durable.
