The Makita Quality shines through
This is a very good saw and holds up the Makita name brilliantly! It’s easy to use very accurate and powerful. It cuts deep and doesn’t slow down as it glides through different thicknesses of work pieces! It’s also very easy to read and change the angle and the depth of cut as well! The quality of the box it comes in is also worth a mention, solid, sturdy and large! It is very easy to pack away with none of this faffing about for five minutes trying to get everything to fit just perfect before the lid will close! Nope none of that nonsense here, just throw it in, close it over and off ye go! Highly recommended!

Great power, great results
Having had my old Makita battery saw eventually die on me I purchased a battery Ryobi one. Having struggled with the lack of power of the Ryobi, I opted to give this Makita one a go.It arrived well packaged and I was able to get it on Amazon’s 5 monthly payment option. It’s incredibly well made and extremely powerful. It’s easy to use, and packed with functions as listed in the description. It’s bigger than the previous one I had but it’s so powerful it’s worth it.Highly recommend this tool. I was genuinely surprised at the power and ease of use.

Powerful and light
This is my first corded circular saw; I own a couple of 18v and a 12v mini saw. I bought this to notch 6x6 green oak, as my Hitachi 18v was struggling to cut in less than 3 passes. The saw is surprisingly powerful, cutting through damp oak with ease on a single full depth pass. Cuts are accurate and consistent, even with the stock blade, and the depth adjustment is quick and easy to use. A decent case in with the price is a bonus, as the unit is quite large and needs to be stored safely.Very satisfied with this item, and highly recommend this.

Very good circular saw
This was my first circular saw, bought to help make some shelves and workbenches for my garage at home. To be honest, it's probably a bit too high end and serious for what I needed and I could easily have got away with a much cheaper tool. The build of this seems like it will last a lifetime though, very solid and well made. I replaced the blade with a 60 tooth 3rd party blade (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008X7IZIQ/) to get smoother cuts. It slices through everything I've needed to cut and been easy to handle to get nice straight cuts - particularly used in combination for a straight edge (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000LFVGZC/). The depth adjustment is easy to use and change. Great tool.

Powerful
Needed to upgrade my existing circular saw to something more capable of cutting large timber accurately. This saw easily makes nice clean cuts through timber joists, rafters and ridge beams with ease and accurate too. It's not too heavy but does have a kick when starting. It's supposed to be set up with the blade square to the base, but I found it slightly off, so a slight adjustment of the locking screw had it set correctly. Before buying I searched around online for the best price, Amazon being the cheapest.

Great.
Powerful. Heavy. Good blade. Can’t be depth adjusted with one hand. Box is a bit rubbish and fiddly and the insert is flimsy.

Usual Makita quality.
Not much to say really. It's a Makita. Faultless.

I did not like the quality of the holding on the top one.
It is a work around one years. The top part where I hold is broken. Very bad quality handle on the top one.
