Babyliss GT Ionic Dryer

I got these after doing some research. My old hairdryer is old and has lost a bit of its oomph. I have very thick hair that takes ages to dry so wanted something powerful. This is definitely that! Super quick drying time, powerful blast, cool heat settings and 2 speeds. Nozzle included. Nice to touch as well as it has that lovely touchy feely coating 🤣 It isn't a lightweight hairdryer by any means so if you have weak arms or wrists it's probably not for you. But it is a fantastic hairdryer and we'll worth the value price. Highly recommended especially if you have long or thick hair.

I have short straight hair in a bob and have little patience spending my time drying my hair in the morning so really am always on the lookout for a hairdryer which is powerful yet does not dry my hair out (especially in the winter). My last hair dryer was one which hairdressers use but the biggest problem with it was its weight when I go on holiday and how it added to my luggage allowance. Having purchased this hair dryer I do not think it is any lighter than my previous one but it is smaller and dries my hair very quickly which is why I have given 4 stars. I have yet to have a hair dryer which dries my hair as quick. To solve the problem in my luggage I purchased a travel hairdryer or I don't take one and use the hotel one. If you are looking for a powerful hair dryer this is definitely a recommended one. I have not however noticed a difference regarding it being ionic - I think this is a gimmick more than reality.

I've owned this hair dryer since 2012 and I love it. I've had no problems with it at all.I love the 2 different speed settings and 2 different heat settings and also the cool button comes in handy as well (you have to keep that pushed down yourself though) so if you're wanting to use it for a while it can be a bit annoying but I only ever use it for a few seconds.It looks great and performs great. The cable on it has to be a good 10 feet which is nice. The only downside to this product is the little cap on the end to direct the air flow doesn't stay on that good. It stays on fine when using it (unless you have long hair and touch it when drying it) but I found whenever I put it down the end would most of the time pop off. It's not a big issue just a little annoying at times.If you're looking for a well built dryer that performs well and doesn't leave any frizz then look no further. This is a great product for leaving your hair soft. 8 1/2 out of 10 for me.

I wanted a hairdryer to replace my old Babyliss Elegance hairdryer which had faithfully served me for over 8 years before finally giving up the ghost. I made this purchase based on the favourable reviews, the fact that it's a Babyliss, and incorporates ionic technology. The 3 heat settings seem to be cool, warm-ish and nuclear. The highest setting causes an aroma of mildly singed hair and I find it quite painful on my scalp. I have very fine, long-ish hair which has difficulty withstanding this temperature, although I didn't have this issue with my previous hair dryer. The middle-temperature setting unfortunately doesn't provide volume/root-lift which really lasts, so it's not completely ideal for me either. The cool shot button provides properly COLD air which I personally like but which might not be everyone's cup of tea. Then we come to the issue of weight. I don't know what components are contained inside this hair dryer, but using it to dry your own hair is a pretty punishing workout for whichever arm you're using. After more than a few minutes of holding it above my head, my arm muscles really start to ache. It is by far the heaviest hair dryer I've ever used. Drying my hair upside down is one option, but then it's impossible to see in the mirror at the same time. The main body of the hair dryer is quite long. Once you add on the concentrator nozzle, I find it difficult to hold the hair dryer sufficiently far away to avoid continuously banging the nozzle on my head. This usually results in the nozzle falling off. This has happened so many times that the nozzle now appears to have become a bit loose and so it falls off quite easily. The ionic technology does a good job of reducing frizz and static, although I have observed that my hair lacks it's usual shine and lustre, and actually appears strangely dull. However I don't know if this is just a drawback of ionic hair dryers generally. I've now decided to admit defeat and purchase a much lighter and less burdensome model. I will keep this as a backup and cross my fingers that I don't ever have to use it again.

I bought this when my Remington hairdryer suffered a tumble and the casing cracked (light plastic exterior). It had served me well so I was looking to purchase the same or similar when I came across this particular unit. I'd seen in some reviews that a detractor was the weight, but I can tell you having received it, they're overstating. The hairdryer has a heft to it, for sure, but I'd say it's pleasant and not too much. It gives more of a luxury, sturdy feel to the unit finished in all matte black plastics. Overall I love the unit, the cold shot is actually COLD and the speed at which this dries my hair even on the lowest speeds is phenomenal. Really pleased with this one, in fact kinda pleased that my old one gave up the ghost!

I bought this after my gym installed them and I really liked how quickly it dried but also the multiple heat settings including the cold blast button which I find is great for setting your hair and making it nice and shiny. I have really thick long hair, so my hair can take quite a while to dry, but this is much faster than my previous hairdryer. It is quite heavy if that's not what you're after, for me, I like it to feel like it's got weight in it and find it easier to navigate than something heavier. You can't complain at the price.

Love the design features, matt black is perfect. The nozzle is excellent for shaping however on the strongest setting sometimes it makes it difficult to use and causes same tangles. When first used didn't feel very warm but the next time it definitely felt more powerful and dries my hair fairly quickly.It would be nice to have a setting between the most powerful and the next below, but overall I'm happy with this purchase.
