Bought this cable for my PC monitor as it is some distance from the plug and the monitor came with a short cable that had to take the less-tidy direct route.This longer kettle lead did the trick and works perfectly and I could route it out of sight.

Actually thought this would be a cheap lead for the price and not compare the the OEM cable you get for a high end PSU (I needed a longer cable for my PC PSU which is a £140 model)but i got it out the box and the cable is a larger diameter than the cable i was replacing 1.00mm cores compared to 0.75mm cores, meaning it's actually more likely to be safe to use (higher current rating)The insulation feels good quaility etc etc, don't be worried about this purchase it seems fine.3m model bought

So it's only a kettle lead, what can be important or special about that? Well, at the time I desperately needed a cable to do some urgent maintenance on a PC and it had to be 3m long because of the set-up. I couldn't find anything in my local area and so I checked with Amazon. There it was, no surprise there, and so I ordered it.
