Tangle Wood Collector's Art Edition: 20 drawings to colour & keep

A really beautiful book, larger than normal and contains 20 of Jessica Palmer's stunning pictures from Tangle Wood. It is printed on thick cardstock, single sided and once completed each page is ready for framing. It lays completely flat and no picture goes right to the edge of the page. I have only completed one page so far using Caran D'ache Pablos and Holbeins, which both went on very smoothly, and a background using Caran D'ache metallic fancolour aquarelles. There is no bleedthrough or wave in the paper even though I oversoaked it at one point. This was done for a challenge to find "hidden" hearts - check out the facebook group Fan Tangle Colouring friends dedicated to Jessicas books.

I was surprised when I got this book as the pages are a thick card. The pictures are intricate so mostly I have been using pens but because the high quality of the card pages which can be taken out, water colour pencils and water colour pens and pastels can also be used for background drawing in. I do not use paints so I cannot say if you can use paint on it but the quality of the pages is so high I can't see why you couldn't use paints if you wanted to. Very pleased with my purchase and a lovely item.

Lovely pictures and a bit more advanced colouring in to challenge my shaking hands. But i love the pictures in this pull out and frame collection. The paper has a lovely thickness to it so would cope with all mediums from a pencil to an alcohol based pen but you will need a small nib with pens. This collection has made me want to buy all the other art work available in regular colouring in books by this artist.

I am delighted with this book, just working my way through it at the moment. Perfect for beginners or those with more experience. When I finish I will be looking for another by this author.

Paper is good but images are a bit empty and sketchy compared to others. Can't really find anything I'd like to work on..disappointing..
