A major headache!
Why some parts that need to be white, are molded in yellow, is beyond me! Some parts really don’t fit, or are badly warped. The smaller parts are excellent with no flash, even though this is an old model. The deluxe version has photo-etched railings. Very fiddly and fragile, but please use these instead of the plastic railings. If you are an experienced modeller, this can be made up into an outstanding display piece, but it takes times, skill and loads of patience.. This is not for the faint-hearted or beginners. The model comes with monofilament rigging, but not enough. I purchased a reel of dressmaking invisible black monofilament thread. It is like fishing line, but black. The reel contains about 300 metres, more than enough. You will end up with a beautiful model, just purchase extras like, filler (my advice is decorators caulk from B&Q. Easy to apply and sets slowly) fine grit paper and tranquillisers!

Excellent model
Built this model over two months using the photo etched parts and miniature lights from J.S. Miniatures. Went together nicely but you MUST use the photo etch railings and rat lines, the plastic moulded railings are awful looking. Even so after 2 months a beautiful model took shape and worth the price and effort! (J.S.Miniatures is now Small Scale Lights)

Titanic proportions...
Good for its time (1976) but the molds are getting worn out, as expected it been moulded to death over the years by various model brands, unless your a glutton for punishment and love a challenge dont buy it, or you will end up a rivet counter as there are still inaccurate parts to deal with, this was the only game in town for an injection molded large scale titanic, but theres a new kid on the block now....trumpeter.
