I love it! I know many reviews are complaining about it having a "plasticy noise" when it states it doesn't BUT I can say that it doesn't have a plasticy noise! The older style protectors were plastic and noisy. This one does make a noise but it's nowhere near as noisy as the old style ones! To me, it sounds the same as when you have a feather and down duvet. A bit of a crinkly noise that's it. Hollowfibre duvets are quiet so putting this protector over one yes it will make a sound. I'm really really happy with it. I don't know if I'm going through the change or it's my medication or both, but night sweats are a real problem at the moment. It's keeping my duvet clean and dry. I highly recommend it. In summary, yes makes a bit of a noise but it's not like the ones that sound like your duvet has been inserted into a giant crisp packet!

Light weight but strong
This is made from strong fabric with like a waterproof backing it has zip enclosureI was quite impressed by the quality it's not like the cheap mesh type protectorsI would advise... that once this protector is on the duvet .. and you then put your top duvet cover on .. you may want to safety pin the corners of the protector to the duvet cover inside.Only because I found it slides around alot in the cover. And attaching the corners on the inside will helpGood product been using for a few months no issues.

Some drawbacks, but does the job
Bought this about a month ago; I have a medium dog (lurcher) who stays inside while I'm at work. She rarely has accidents, but when she does, it's ALWAYS on my bed -- annoying doesn't begin to describe it! I see waterproof mattress covers all the time, but figured that wouldn't solve the problem as she tends to go on the king sized duvet, which inevitably doesn't fit in the washing machine and has to be taken to a laundrette. I'm happy with this product and just want to give my take on a few things that other reviews have mentioned:- the zipper breaking: The zipper doesn't seem like the most robust one I've ever seen. I wouldn't rag it about if it gets stuck! Having said that, I can't see why it wouldn't hold up to normal use. It's not like you'll be taking this thing on and off very often.- it's noisy: Yes, it is. It makes a definite rustle when you move it around. Neither myself nor my partner are terribly light sleepers, so this hasn't bothered us and I've gotten used to it really quickly. What's more, all waterproof bedding seems to be this type of material, so if you can't live with the noise, an alternative product isn't going to sort it. If you're a light sleeper, or share a bed with someone who is, it might be an issue!- it's hot: It does get pretty warm under here. There's no central heating in my bedroom, but I do have a 13.5 tog duvet on the bed as well as two adults and a dog in it most nights, and the cover doesn't breathe very well. Again, this is kind of to be expected as all of this stuff is made out of a plastic-type material. I think you could use a lighter duvet than normal to counter this a bit, but again, if you run really warm it might bother you.- the duvet gets twisted up inside: I haven't found this at all, and my dog loves to grab her toys and go flying up onto the bed with them, skidding across the duvet and rucking it all up, so it's been well-tested! I DO find, however, that the outer cover (ie, the normal one on top of this) slides around a bit because this is quite a smooth material underneath.A good shake usually sorts that.- it's not waterproof: Definitely not true in my experience. My dog had her first 'accident' on the duvet this week. There was a sizeable wet patch on the outer duvet cover; I pulled that off to put it in the wash and underneath, the wee had beaded up on top of this (waterproof) cover, like water does on a raincoat. I just wiped it off, no problem. I checked the duvet underneath that to be sure and nothing has got through. One more thing I haven't seen yet in other reviews: because this isn't breathable, when I first put in on my duvet and zipped it up, it was HUGE -- it had trapped air inside and was like a big bubble! I had to unzip it, roll my duvet up nice and tight with the cover on, then zip it up before I unrolled it. Bit of an odd experience, but not the end of the world.

Keeps the mattress dry
They are waterproof, but it can get a little sweaty and they make a noise when you move

Awful!
What a waste of money! Bought as my little one began night time toilet training and whilst it seemed to be waterproof, that is the ONLY positive thing I can say about this product. It rustles more than a hedgehog in Autumn, it fills with more air than a hot air balloon everytime you move, its enormous (way to big to be king size), leaving the duvet floating around somewhere halfway down the bed and you with just handfuls of noisy plastic covering you while you Sleep, it makes you overheat, and it takes DAYS to dry, meaning I have to use my duvet without and it gets soiled and I have to arrange to get it laundered!! ! It also now seems to let water through. I am buying some new ones tonight and was going to GIVE this one away as I cant find the nerve to actually charge someone to take it off my hands but after having washed it and hung it out to dry weighing around 9kg as it fills with water from the washing machine it will be going where it deserves... the BIN!!!!! Absolute nightmare!!!

Waterproof bright white/fab
Highly recommend this waterproof duvet cover. It is waterproof. It is easily washed. Tea was spilt with a well known white stain remover added to wash the cover came up good as new. It dried easily on the outaide line. I experienced no issues. I did read someone struggled with the drying process due to it being waterproof. I expected difficulties but it came out of the machine fine just a normal wet.I do have to secure the corners with small white elastic hair bands to keep it slipping around the duvet because I also do use it under a normal duvet cover. However that is my choice (and a tipπ). But it is a lovely cover. Everyone comments on the comfort of the duvet when sleeping under it. It weights my duvet down because I use a cover on top of it bit honestly again that's my choice. The people who have stayed do love the unusual weight of it. Of course it can easily be used as it is.I can wholly recommend this product and the seller. It arrived very fast and packaged very well.

Rubbish. Noisy and not worth the money. Duvet moves around.
Waste of money. Would not recommend if your bed is any bigger than a single. The cover is a little noisy as are all these products. What really got me was it made your duvet lump in to sections and not lie straight. It drove me nuts. Lasted 2 days on my bed and took it off.Waste of money and wish I could return it!
