Perfect size! Nice amount!

Got this to make my own DIY “pon” for semi hydro. Mixed 2 parts of this with 2parts pumice (of similar size) and 1 part crushed zeolite. So far it seems to be working great. My alocasia, philodendron, tradescantia and ficus elastica are all thriving in the pon made with this lava rock.

They are, as advertised, rocks

Love these rocks. Makes my succulents look really nice when I put them on top of the dirt. Helps keep moisture in longer. My succulents are still healthy. Also keeps moisture in even put dirt in the bottom of pot then add rocks then add dirt.I do wash them before I use them. That way I know I have clean lava rocks for my plants. I even save the ones I use and rewash them.

The stone size is really small.

For my bonsai mix I use the 1/3 pumice 1/3 akadama and 1/3 lava as per recommendation. This is the lava I have always used. It’s good, although small I like it. Make sure to get the black as red can kill your trees.

It is just as it looks, but very small quantity for the price.
