This book is huge. I got it for my 15 year old who will be taking her GED this next year when she turns 16. My kids are home schooled so this makes a great learning guide for what they need to know. Very explanatory. I’ll be purchasing the 2024-2025 soon as well.

HELPED ME PASS

Has relevant information but hard to study from if you are new to GED material.

So I bought this for my step son to take his GED as he was not doing well in regular school.He studied it for 3 weeks and was able to easily pass the GED exams on the first try without even worrying. He said this book was really helpful and he credits it for passing all of the exams with ease. If you need to study for a GED, this book is great.

Love this book and all the perks that come with it there are videos you can watch for each topic throughout the book as well as free exams to practice before the test. This was ordered for a family member and I would definitely recommend.

I found this book to be very helpful in helping me start my GED journey by orienting me in the topics covered in the tests. Thanks to the book, I did pass all my tests (social studies was absolutely lacking). Nevertheless, the book is not thorough enough if you don’t have any background knowledge of the subjects. I frequently found myself on YouTube and Khan Academy to fill any gaps, particularly in science and ESPECIALLY social studies. I literally skimmed that chapter because it was not congruent with the style of questions GED asks in that subject and I stuck with YouTube for that. As far as reading (main idea/summary) and writing (essay) practice, I also had to outsource material to hone those skills. Also, Mometrix claims this material is GED certified but I did not find any evidence of that from the GED website. For GED practice tests, GED offerS to find the appropriate chapter in your certified book to help prepare for the real test and Mometrix was nowhere to be found, but Kaplan was! If you want to use that resource, I would say use Kaplan. Overall, the book got the job done, but I wouldn’t use it as the only study material. There were some discrepancies in spelling and in science concepts, so watch out.

I have been on and off waisting time to get my GED for over 15 years. I finally made the initiative to purchase the study guide. This is amazing! I love that they give you practice tests and videos to understand everything better! I just started but I am more confident with this book than any teacher that has stood in front of me.
