I am 6ft 1" and with the extra reach these give me i can cut my high hedge. Nice and light too so easy on my arms. Another good point is cutting anything low saves your back bending down. Very sharpe and can cut things you think they cant. Really good buy.

I bought these as a replacement for some Chinese shears of the same design which were very good. These seem just about as good, the only slight difference I can see is that these shears use a central self locking nut which I know from past experience with edging shears is prone to slowly loosen with the motion of cutting. But anyway these shears cut well, and they are very light to use, they are a good price and are a lot better than the majority of often poorly designed shears that are currently available. I'm a professional gardener, and I've used a lot of different shears in my working life. Tip: always go for shears with handles that are much longer than the length of the blades, it makes for a lot less effort during use, and subsequently a much better cut.

Very pleased with these shears. They are lightweight, sharp and easy to use. Very good value for money. Arrived sooner than expected too. Ordered on 1st June, delivered on the 3rd.

I loved these when I bought them last year as they are so lightweight to use. However, this spring the first time I tried to use them I noticed the cutting edges were moving. . . . well guess what, the screws/fixing/whatever were gone. Searched in the cupboard to no avail. So guess they must have fallen out when I used them last year, and were stored 'sans screws'. Since I can't figure out how to get a short enough screw to put back into BOTH of the blades, I'll have to buy a new one, I guess. Sigh! But they were very easy to use, just didn't expect them to last only one year.

Am sure they weigh less than most, however their weight is obviously at the business end - top heavy. With no wrist strength or a grip they are impossible to use. I couldn't even lift them from their box!

Lovely shears, light, sharp, and easy to use. I have mobility problems and find some shears too heavy but these are nicely balanced, and cut really well. I am not too sure how durable they will be, but think they will be fine if they are only used for light hedge clipping.
