Nearly a year Review
I like to write reviews on something like this after a year because I think it a good time to review a product like this. Yes it pricey, but my last monitor I got before this was £300 which was a lot at the time and that lasted me for 6 years. I was due an upgrade. It wasn't easy because there are a lot of great monitors out there and it so difficult to decide which is right for you. I could of gone for a 4k monitor but I'm not into gaming at 4k. The first thing that drew me into this monitor was the G-Sync, I have a a Nvidia graphics card so this tearing which I always seen while gaming annoyed me so with G-Sync yes it worth it. There is free sync which works well and it is cheaper. The refresh rate on this. 144Hz is a must! honestly if you can go into a store and try a monitor with a higher refresh rate do it. This monitor is a pleasure to use for long gaming session with the thin bezels it actually takes less desk space which is handy because I don't have a lot of space on my desk. the picture quality on this is amazing sharp. I haven't had any issues with this monitor. The monitor does require a bit of assembly out of the box but the instructions are good so follow them! The stand is sturdy. I would also say I watch movies of this and the picture has been on point. Overall I have been very happy with this monitor and would recommend it to a friend.

One of the best monitors in my opinion
After using this after a month after upgrading from my old 21.5 inch, 60hz, 1080p, non G-sync monitor, I can say that this was an amazing purchase. The extra size and resolution allow for roughly the same Pixels Per Inch (PPI) as my old display, with this monitor having a PPI of 109, meaning that the extra size and resolution combined offer an increased screen size at no cost to image quality. The colors are more accurate and vibrant on this display when compared to my old monitor, particularly giving more vibrant reds. The high refresh rate makes playing games, provided I can reach the monitors refresh rate, can allow for buttery smooth gameplay, increasing the immersion and making the experience far better.G-Sync successfully eliminates dreaded screen tearing, so that won't distract you anymore, if you even notice it.The sleek, gamer oriented stand and the thin bezels make the monitor an attractive site to behold. There is one problem which I encountered with this monitor: dead and stuck pixels. Approximately five dead pixels are located just to the left of the bottom center of the monitor, as well as four stuck pink pixels in the top left area (this is enough to allow me to return the monitor due to the pixel defects, but the hassle and chance of the next monitor being the same or worse makes me reluctant to send it back). While I generally don't notice it when gaming or watching videos, it can become especially especially apparent and visible when against a light background, such as many websites, and leaves me feeling slightly disappointed with my particular model, unfortunately I did not win the silicon lottery this time. On the bright side, IPS glow isn't noticed unless against a black background (I only notice it on the Windows start up screen).Overall I am very satisfied with this monitor, with it's vibrant colors, high refresh rate and lack of screen tearing, even with the pixel defects, I still think it is worth giving it a five star rating, even though Acer's quality control team let many defects slide in the pursuit of money. Either way, it is still a great monitor, and I am sure if you decide to buy it, you will be happy to have done so (unless you end up with defects like me).

One of the best things I've ever bought
Monitor arrived in perfect condition, zero dead/stuck pixels and next to no backlight bleed at all. It looks absolutely phenomenal due to being an IPS panel and the colours are accurate as well as the screen being very bright, you will likely want to turn it down a bit. 1440p really does make things look just that extra bit better and then 165Hz gives a noticeable smoothness to everything.I currently have this sitting facing towards a window and even with bright sunlight entering the room the screen remains perfectly visible. The stand is solid and easy to assemble and the panel itself has a reassuring weight to it. Despite the thin side bezels I'm not at all worried about damaging the panel. The only downside to it's build is the buttons for navigating the OSD, they're just a bit of a pain to use but you should really only have to use them once to help set the monitor up and enable the 165Hz.It does come with two USB 3.0 outputs on the bottom and the left side has two USB 3.0 outputs, one of which seems to be a dedicated charging port, it also has a USB 3.0 input located on the back too. Display inputs are limited to DisplayPort which has an included cable and HDMI, this is due to a limitation of G-Sync which will also only function through DisplayPort and the HDMI input isn't capable of carrying a 1440p resolution anyway, it's only useful if you happen to have a console you also want to plug in. The one I received did come with both a UK plug and a European plug which was nice but unnecessary. It's a shame they went for a red theme on the base and with the logo on the front, though the logo isn't really that distracting and the base is easily painted to a nicer colour, or removed since this does have a 100x100 VESA mount.I couldn't ask for more, this was worth more than it costs.
