Iv'e grown avo seeds before, typically by sticking some long matchsticks into the side and suspending it over the neck of a jam-jar full of water. This is much fancier, givening you a floating avocado-shaped "boat" in which to sit your seed.It's designed well enough that you can get the seed nicely centred with just enough of it's bum touching the water without the boat capsizing. The fact that it floats means that, unlike the "matchstick method", you don't need to keep topping up the water to ensure the seed remains in contact with it.The down-side of this method over the match-stick method is that you need a MUCH bigger vessel to float your boat. Jam jars simply aren't big enough, you're goin g to need a mixing bowl, vase or some other vessel with a mouth wide enough to accommodate your floating avocado island. Clearly, glass vessels are best (pun intended) as they allow you to see the roots whne they finally grow. It's been 2 weeks so far and no sign of movement from the first seed we've tried. the blurb warns it could take a fair while for growth to start - I suspect this will depend on more conditions than just having the water. I've faith that it will work (as I've had previous success using matchsticks) - it's just going to take a while.This was bought for a 6 year old that loves to eat avocados so that they can grow their own. It's been moderately engaging but it's taking a while so interest has waned while nothing is happening. I suspect once growth starts it will become interesting again.All things considered, it's an OK but expensive way to grow an avocado seed but it could be fun for kids and it reduces the risk of forgetting to water it quite so often.

I love the avoseedo! Has worked really well, took a bit longer than suggested (about 3 1/2 months), I almost trew it away as it looked a bit mouldy. Glad I didn't because all of a sudden a root shot out and now I have a huge shoot of around 30cm high and a large root system. I transferred it to a deeper water vessel so the roots could expand properly. I am going to plant it in the next few days, a bit nervous as it's doing so well in the avoseedo. I can't wait to start germinating the next avocado pit!

I bought this as a gift. Unfortunately, in order to get it to fit the wrap around card packaging, it had to be twisted on its packing, which had broken the plastic belt holding it on. This gave the impression it had already been opened/used. It doesn't come with any instructions for preparation of the seed either. I found it pricey for what you get.

Enkel och funktionell produkt. Om slutresultatet blir det önskade kommer att bero på avokadokärnans förmåga att gro vilket tar ett antal veckor. Så jag kan inte berätta om detta i nuläget.

J'avais peur que ce soit 'cheap' en lisant certains, mais non, bien au contraire ! En plus, il y a même un explicatif à l'intérieur et des petit cure-dents si le noyau est trop petit. Vraiment bien.Hate de recevoir le 2e (j'ai commandé un 2e avec un pot transparent) . mille mercis

Aun no lo hemos usado porque es un regalo para mi hija, pero pinta muy bien. Ya estuve a punto de cogerme uno para mí también cuando compré el suyo, y no creo que tarde en hacerlo. Es divertido y original.

Ogni volta che provavo a far germogliare un seme di avocado ottenevo solo che il seme ammuffiva.Con AvoSeedo ho un bell'alberello di avocado, finalmente.Unica pecca: dipendentemente dal peso del seme (ovviamente non sono tutti uguali) il sostegno galleggia appena costringendo ad un posizionamento preciso per tenere il seme in equilibrio e non far imbarcare acqua.

Das Avocadoschiff kam sehr gut verpackt in einem Luftpolsterumschlag bei mir an.Inhalt:- Anleitung (englisch)- Avoseedo- mehrere Fähnchen zum Beschriften für das AnfangsdatumDie Verpackung selbst ist sehr minimalistisch aber definitiv ausreichend. Das Avoseedo ist mit zwei Kabelbindern an einem Karton angeheftet, der zeitgleich auch die Anleitung ist. Dank der tollen Bilder der Schritt-für-Schritt Anleitung ist es auch für jedermann sehr verständlich beschrieben. Der Text, in englischer Sprache, dient zu weiteren Hinweisen.Das Ganze ist direkt einsatzbereit, es wir lediglich eine Avocado bzw. der Kern dieser benötigt und schon ganz das Erlebnis beginnen.Aus Erfahrung kann ich sagen, dass dies mit dem Avoseedo sehr gut funktioniert. Es dauert allerdings seine Zeit und man sollte nicht zu ungeduldig sein. Da hier mit Naturprodukten (Avocadokern) gearbeitet wird kann es natürlich auch zu Misserfolgen kommen, wofür jedoch das Produkt selbst nichts kann.Nachdem der Avocadokern aus der Avocado gelöst wurde muss man die bräunliche Haut entfernen. Der Kern wird mit der Spitze nach oben in das "Schiffchen" gesetzt und anschließend in eine Schüssel mit Wasser. Durch den Auftrieb den das Schiff erzeugt wird der Kern optimal mit Wasser versorgt. Es ist deutlich einfacher als mit Zahnstochern und einem Glas Wasser.Die Bilder zeigen den Fortschritt nach 2 Monaten.Eine klare Kaufempfehlung für dieses Produkt.
