Fixed a leaking pipe junction - permanently!
This stuff is so great. It just works peoples! You can put it straight onto wet / actively dripping leaks. Keep a roll in your cupboard in case of a weekend emergency.Very good instructions. I wonder whether others who didn't have success didn't follow the instructions properly? I had to use 1/2 roll for my repair as I needed to do the 6-7 layers option, which equals £3...much cheaper than a plumber & parts. You have to stretch it for it to work & overlap the tape as per instructions.I had a serious pipe junction leak. Put it on / wrapped it round with the water still leaking away as I couldn't find the stop tap. It not only stopped the leak 100% but we can leave it in place as a permanent repair. See photo. Plumbers must hate this stuff!Gold star product.Update August. Bought another roll (for a different leak) because product is good - worked again.

Great product, needs better instructions/tips
I was reading a technology review website the other day and there was a big article on someone crowd funding a tape that stuck to itself, worked under water, and could carry out a myriad of repairs. Obviously, that site had never seen this product before which does everything the so called "super tape" does.I bought this product to repair the flaw that annoys all owners of Apple products: split power cables. It seemingly doesn't matter whether you buy an iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, or any other Apple product, but their cables always split just behind the connector! In the past, before iPhone 6's success, Apple would replace cables. However, now they'll only do it within their limited 1 year warranty. That of course is against EU Law (whilst we still have it). These items are covered for 6 years, not 1. However, if like me you're having an uphill battle and are sick of paying for deliberate design flaws, this tape will repair those cables.I would recommend cutting off the amount of tape you think will suffice to cover the repair. This is because the tape has to be applied under tension. Pulling the tape tightly, and wrapping it around whilst dispensing the tape, in my experience reduces the tension. This tape needs tension to work. In fact, the tighter you pull and the more you stretch it, the more effective the bond to itself becomes. I've not tried this tape to repair burst water pipes, but judging by the repair it's done on my Apple cables, I'd be certain it'd do a great job.I've given it 4 stars because I had to figure out myself to cut the tape off the reel before applying and that if you lose tension the final end won't stick. Neither of these points are in the instructions which is a risky ploy to ensure you use more than you need.

It's grate!
We are in the middle of house renovation and I got a leaking pipe. Since everything will be ripped out and replaced I did not wanted to pay for the plumber. I bought this tape to fix the leak. The tape is strong and it managed to stop the leak. After few days I’ve noticed that the seel got bloated on one side. I’ve ordered another tape to fix the first seel. Cut the old one and the second attempt worked. I figured that the first time I used it I made few mistakes, that is why it failed. ***If it is your first time using it and you need to fix a pipe, with difficult access to it, buy at least two of these. Keep the tape straight, if it bends the seel might not work, so if it bends try to undo it and straight it up. Try to keep it clean, I think this might effect it performance as well. I got some dust from the wall, so the second time I got damp cloth to wipe any dust from the tape as I applied it. It works well in smaller pieces, so if you have difficult access cut it in to smaller pieces. Tape stick to it self and creates a tight seal. I’ve cut a bit of tape and roll it back so it was easy to handle, the I applied it anti clock wise so the plastic tape was not in my way. If you see water coming out, cut another peace and keep going until it stops*** I have high pressure in the pipes and seel holds perfectly. I just need it as a temporary solution but I think it might work in a long run. I’ll definitely keep one in the house and I recommend it to everyone.

Tricky to use and then failed!
The tape has to be stretched to become adhesive - pulled really hard - and in the confined space in which I was working and around an awkward shape this proved very challenging. I used three quarters of a reel of tape on the leak around a tap at the base of a large cubic metre water tank. Initially I thought this had worked but within a few days the constant drip had returned after which I finished off the entire reel around the perceived weak point. I also removed half the skin on on my hands grovelling around on the floor under a huge tank!!!!A time consuming and fairly expensive failure which now means I have to cut it all off to try another solution.Perhaps I did not use the tape well or perhaps the leak was in too complex a location for the tape to work, but won’t be using again!!!

Not sticky, but it really sticks
To be honest, I was a little sceptical when ordering and when I first opened the tape, but really really happy with the I purchase and the result. My first attempts with a tube of silicone seal was messy and a “putty” type product didn’t stop the leak, but so far this has and I’m loving it.The tape is low-tack, so doesn’t initially stick to the pipe. So I cut a length of tape off the roll (leaving part of the backing tape on to start with) and holding the end to the pipe proceeded to s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d the tape and wound tightly round the pipe (like a compression bandage) from one side of the joint to the other, glad to say it did a really tidy (profession looking) job and gave my self and the result ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

not fit for purpose
useless product...states pull to twice length to activate I dare anyone to get to twice length with out a break in tape...just not to be used in real world good for you tubers with small leaks in open spaces but not to be used in a bathroom with confined access ...dont bother !
