Nice colours, but smallish brushes
Bought in the Black Friday sale and they are lovely pens. However, I probably won't buy any more in other colours until I've tried some Tombow pens for comparison, as these Pitt pens appear to have a smaller 'brush'. They don't produce the effects of calligraphy as well, if that makes sense, as the brush is smaller/narrower. I tried overwriting a yellow pen onto blue writing and it did produce green, but not as blendable as I've seen with Tombows. These Pitt pens don't bleed through to the other side of the paper so they're ok to use in colouring books, unless you're heavy handed with them.I like these pens, just not convinced it's worth buying more of them until I've tried other markers such as Tombow or some of the budget brands.EDIT: Bought a small pack of Tombow dual brush markers and it was quickly obvious to me that they performed less well than expected BECAUSE I have no skill in calligraphy. The Tombows are longer pens, larger brushes, but on paper they didn't seem worth the hefty price tag compared to Pitt brush pens. So, unless you have any ounce of clue regarding calligraphy (which I don't) I would probably recommend the Pitt pens instead. If you're looking for a calligraphy brush pen, there are many tutorials on youtube using Tombows and I would go for them if you can afford them.

I love these pens!
I take these pens with me to life drawing and they are a lot of fun to work with rather than plain old charcoal or pencil. The colours are vibrant and they do not soak through the paper, which is lovely. You can also layer the colours - for example, red upon red to make it darker where necessary. However, the tips do not last very long before they begin to feather which is rather frustrating. Faber Castell really need to do something about their 'Bold' pens, I have seen a lot of people comment on the same issue.
