If you suffer from a lot of urine infections, I highly recommend D-Mannose. I have had regular infection for over 10 years which meant many trips to the doctors and lots of antibiotics. As I was taking antibiotics so regularly, I was worried about their effect on my health and also about increasing resistance. For the last 3 years, having D-Mannose, has changed things significantly. As soon as a feel an infection coming on, I take 2. A lot of times, this stops it from developing so I don't need any more. Other times, I'll take the recommend dosage for a few days which will clear up the infection. Having these pills means I can manage the infection at home, myself without the wait for a doctors appointment and tests (in which time, the infections gets much worse and is harder to treat). I take these on holidays with me and always make sure I never run out. I think part of what makes them so effective is taking them asap.I was buying another brand of D-Mannose but switched to this brand because of the price. For what it is, some manufacturers charge ludicrous prices. This is the best value for money pack I've come across. The other thing that I really like about these particular ones is that the product is sealed/tamper proof and is professionally packaged with a full ingredients lists. Others that I have purchased have looked worryingly amateur.If you are a baby like me and can't swallow big tablets, don't worry, they are big but break easily. I actually chew them with a mouthful of water and then swallow them. They taste sweet so it is not unpleasant!Buy these and tell your friends. If only the nhs would recognise how effective they are and start prescribing them.

I tried this product for the first time for an UTI following an antibiotic treatment that was ineffective. It gave me relief after the first 6 hours. It didn't cure completely my infection as I started taking it too late (nearly 3 weeks after the first signs of infection) and my condition had become too bad to be solved with these entirely, but I kept on taking it with antibiotics (my doctor said it is safe to take them with medicines) and felt confident that this time I was going to get rid of my infection. The combination worked as a charm and I'm sure next time I get an UTI I'll be able to get rid of it with d-mannose only by taking it immediately after I experience the symptoms. I like this product because it's quite affordable and it has only d-mannose. Other products have vitamin C so you can't take too many, as exceeding vitamin C dosage is not safe. Excellent product! I've been suffering regular cystitis since my hysterectomy six years ago (I'm 39). I get the urgency which drives me mad, especially during the night when trying to sleep. I would then give in and get the antibiotics when I have bleeding in the urine, but of course it comes back with a vengeance at a later date. I was so fed up going to the emergency doctor on a weekend, waiting a long time for an appointment, getting a prescription etc, that I did some research and D-Mannose seemed fail-free. Indeed it is! I've just had a bout of cystitis (which comes on very quickly), had the dreadful burning and urgency, and took two tablets straight away - after that took one every 2-3 hours. After just three hours my symptoms had settled, and after about 5 hours I wouldn't have known I had cystitis. After three days stopped the tablets. They are a god-send. I will always have them, and carry some with me in my bag at all times, just in case. After reading other reviews of this "changing peoples life", I can totally agree. No more antibiotics me - the saying is true, they win the fight, but not the war.

I have taken D-Mannose 1000 mg tablets twice a day for the last ten years to avoid UTI’s.I always order from Amazon the following:Company - Your SupplinentsProduct - D - Mannose 1000 tablets 1000mg each tablet.They are easy to swallow, so much so that I take them with the other four tablets I need at the same time.On this occasion, ordering from Amazon, this product was ‘out of stock’.Instead I purchased: Lindens D - Mannose tablets.They are the same size but have no coating to make them easy to swallow. They are chalky and powdery and I gagged trying to swallow each tablet.I do not recommend Lindens D - Mannose.I have two full packs unused.Fortunately, ‘Your Suppliments’ D - Mannose we’re back in stock and I have purchased from them since.

The tablets are very big and difficult to swallow and you need to take them 2 hourly which is a bit annoying. To have any result I had to wait at least 2 hours before passing urine and this is another problem as the UTI make feel like I have to pass urine every minute. It is important also to check the quantity of water to drink because the d-mannose can't be too diluted or too concentrated. So it isn't really easy to take for all these reasons. I am disappointed because I have noticed that the d-mannose helped me to reduce the pain and the symptoms but it didn't cure my cystitis. After 5 days taking the d-mannose, while I had only discomfort and frequent urination, I had haematuria and I had to take the antibiotics as usual. I gave 3 stars because I think that it can help to prevent UTI and it is useful for people that have mild symptoms but not for women like me, with ricurrent cystitis and heamaturia but at least it doesn't have all the side effects of the antibiotics and it can be bought without the prescription. I think it is worth a try as it may work more efficiently with people with mild cystitis.
