I usually lather this on thick at night, hair tied back etc...And sleep in it.It kind of feels a bit like candle wax, taking it off can be a job in the morning as it's thick,puts a firm layer on the face whilst sleeping, but after effects.Lovely and supple

Absolutely brilliant I have tried lots of different moisturisers over the years for dry skin but the stuff is amazing. It stopped the itching it up. The dryness will worth the money.

Good moisturiser.

After too many years living in hot climates my skin is extremely dry, so I needed something really good to use daily. Having tried several other creams I decided to give Oilatum a try, and I am pleased to say I am noticing an improvement in my skin. I will buy again when I run out.

I've spent thousands over the years on expensive creams for eyes, cheeks, neck, body until I read an article about Jessie J would professed to slathering a thick layer of this over her face overnight and she has amazing line free skin. I tried it thinking nah..... but lets see. Blimey, I'm coming up to 52 with serious dryness and wrinkling under eye area and my skin soaked this up. I mistakenly thought that the hydrating products including serums, night and day creams, masks and exfoliators were hydrating my skin but it was doing the opposite. My skin felt amazing on the first morning of using it the night before. Highly recommend it. It does double duty because you can use it anywhere on your body too. I rub it in my feet and elbows and knees to. Give it a go and save yourself a fortune. Happy Slapping!!:)

I have gutatte psoriasis all over my body, and a few patches of plaque psoriasis. Ointments containing steroids are difficult to use when you have several hundred small spots and you want to treat each one but avoid applying to the good skin.I have tried a variety of moisurising creams that can just be slathered all over the body.I use Oilatum Oil in a bath and find that it helps to soften my psoriasis and reduce the irritation, so I decided to try this cream also.It takes a little longer (extra 1 minute or so) to be absorbed by my skin than some other moisturiser/emollients, but perhaps that is simply a function of how thick/viscous it is, and not necessarily a bad thing. Once it has been absorbed, I can feel that there seems to be a slight and very light layer or coating on top of the skin - not feeling oily or greasy, but well moisturised.I notice an immediate reduction in itching/irritation. As this is a non-steroid, you can apply as much as you want, as often as you want and use on any part of the body.Some people are allergic or experience irritation from lanolin - this is lanolin free, not all moisturisers are.However, different people can experience allergic reactions from different things, so it is always advisable to use this on a small patch of skin at first use and look for any reaction over the first few hours.The container does have a note that it contains cetostearyl alcohol and potassiium sorbate, and it says that these CAN cause local skin reactions.The cream comes in a sturdy plastic bottle, with a pump dispenser. Two things I really like about the bottle:- the pump moves positively from the locked to the unlocked position, without needing to depress the piston first and squirting out some of the contents (as is common with many pump dispensers),- there is also a clip-on plastic collar which fits around the pump-piston, further preventing accidental discharge of contents.These two features make it very convenient to carry this in a hand-bag, computer bag or with gymn gear and not have it leak all over the other items.
