Shameless: The Complete Seventh Season DVD

**Some Minor Spoilers** Avid and Addicted Shameless Fan
This is one of those shows I discovered on Netflix and then watched incessantly until I had to purchase Amazon Video to get caught up to Season 7. When it was released this year, and seeing as how I do not have cable, I waited until the following day to watch it on my phone and... yet again... Shameless did not disappoint!I am in love with this family, as dysfunctional and crass as they are, and the way they survive. Though their love is primarily tough love, they thrive and come together when necessary. Franks intelligence yet ridiculous antics and thought processes are what keeps you on your toes for this show! I often wonder half way through each season how they are going to pull it off, wrap it up and where the show will go next and then they end it with a bang! Losing Monica this season was an interesting feeling for me. I did not think that I would be as sad as I was, but seeing Frank truly mourn for her, himself, his love lost and his family was truly beautiful and very heartbreaking, also a little funny when you learn how Frank and Monica meet. My concerns are they are working Fiona out of this show as she just continues to make decisions that are moving her out of the South Side and into, potentially, White Collar status in the near future. I hope that this is not the case as she is the nuts and bolts of this family even when you think she is being incredibly selfish and too hard, especially on Deb.I hate watching Lip struggle, as he is my favorite character on the show, but I am proud of him for going through the motions and seemingly interested in taking a look at his life and moving towards an education, sobriety and being a better person in general. I have always felt Lip's pain throughout the duration of this show and wanted nothing more than to see him succeed and beat all the odds that are stacked against him. He loves his family so much... now it is time to love himself and believe in himself. I am waiting for some kind of relapse since his mother's passing, but I am hopeful that I am wrong and that he will use that to fuel his fire for better choices all around for his life and future.Kev and V... they truly are the backbone of this family and more than anything I am so glad that V and Fiona got their heads out of their asses and opened up the line of communication again. They really do need each other... especially right now with all that is going on. I do hope, however, that Kev and V either figure out a way to get their bar back, or start another alley bar and they run Svetlana out! I never liked her!I am not going to run through all of my feelings for each character as I feel that my emotional attachment would bore you, plus I want you to watch it if you haven't!All in all this season was wonderful for so many reasons and I hope that we can be a part of this family and their journey for many years to come. It is actually a show that is plausible in real life (even though it is an exceptionally tough life) and that is refreshing as I am SO over apocalyptic shows and movies. Give me something real... Shameless tests your empathy, your heart and, for me anyway, makes me thankful that even though I believe every family has some dysfunction I come from a family that worked hard to show me that the loved me. It is a show that makes you fall in love with each character... even Frank. It is a show that give you some hope that no matter where you come from love is love, work is work, family is family and success is made from a series of failures where you still decide to stand back up and try again.Congrats on another successful season and I cannot wait for season 8! You can count on me to be watching!!

Please let there be a season 8 or I'll just die!
I absolutely loved this show! I saw the English version first a while ago and loved it and decided to try the American version. OMG it should be rated X but I was so addicted that I started to become attached to the characters and actually couldn't go a night without watching one or two episodes. I couldn't wait to watch the next episode and some nights stayed up way too late to see what was going to happen next. The actors are amazing and really capture you, it's like you become part of the Gallagher family. Fiona is amazing, love Lip, Frank should haves died many times but great acting, Debbie, Carl, Ian, Liam, Monica, all the friends, etc I loved them all. The worst part for me was watching Season 7 episode 11 the last one! I saved this one for as long as I could before I watched it. Then the depression set in and I felt lost without this show to watch, I felt like my family died and I had to continue to see what was going to happen next every day. This tells you that this show is great, unless you're a total prude! I beg whoever to please let there be a season 8 ! I'm sick over the fact that I have no more episodes to watch. Come on Fiona direct another episode for all of us. I got everyone at work to watch and they're all addicted! In fact during lunch everyone is on their phones watching a different season or episode and we ask each other "Where are you now"! It's so much fun to know what's going to happen next but your friend didn't get up to that episode yet! Sometimes we even call each other by the character names, "O.k. Fiona", " Who are you Monica?" Please come back again I just finished it and I'm so depressed about it nothing worth watching now at night and I need to know what everyone's doing now?

Another great season
This 7th season of Shameless again sees more character development, along with more cast turnover. I will not go a ton into the various storylines so I do not spoil too much for those who have not seen the season yet, but all the characters (even Liam) get storylines this season. Ian, Carl, and Fiona are making their way out of their respective rock bottoms, while Lip and, to some extent, Debbie continues to spiral. Lip, because of the fallout with his professor and Debbie being a teen mother and dealing with in-laws. Frank comes up with another scam after being fished out of the river, trying to come up with a replacement family. For those who get the blu ray set, it is much like the prior seasons. Two discs, with deleted scenes making up the bulk of the extras, along with two behind-the-scenes features, one on how Emma and Ethan have grown up on the show, and one on the politics of Frank (basically how the writers and William H. Macy see Frank's belief system).Overall, the show continues to be well written and acted. If you have liked the prior seasons then you will probably like this one. If you have not liked the prior seasons, then this is probably not going to convert you. There is still a lot of swearing, drug and alcohol use, and sex. That has not really changed at all. So, if that would turn you off to a show, then this one is definitely not for you.
