This is great often though the design is different to the picture online. The forehead part is going down the nose too much. Strange face shaping

Thin, warm and snug . They stretch a bit so fit well. Silk but machine washable. Got them for Autumn on the motorbike. Fits down to the collar with a bit to tuck in to bike jacket. Reduces misting in the visor and easy to breath through.

Lightweight and easy to get on - even if you have a large head like me. Very comfortable and extremely warm I used this in temperatures of -10 with significant wind-chill factor from a northerly wind in Iceland in March. I used this for when I was aurora watching and even in 60+mph gales I was warm around my face with this on Quite snug fitting so it covers all your facial extremeties I will be using this again when I go stargazing this year and beyond Should be classed as a 'cool accessory' for stargazers!

Use under my helmet when indoor skydiving. The softest and most comfortable balaclava I've used but after under a week of use it's starting to fray so is not durable at all. If it was durable to wasn't starting to wear after only a week of use I'd recommend it. But it's too expensive for something that'll break in 2 weeks of use.

I bought this item to fit under my cycling helmet to help keep out the cold breeze whilst out riding . It does the job great as it’s really thin so you don’t get over heated . I don’t use the lower front chin piece over my mouth as it gets wet when breathing Highly recommend this item

I didn’t like this at all, maybe I was just unlucky as other reviews are ok but the seam down the front was really thick and bumpy so really uncomfortable. After a day riding I was left with a red line down the middle of my nose and forehead. I was away on a motorcycle trip so ended up turning it inside out but I still got a mark from the seam. Home now and it’s gone straight in the bin.

Weellll now then. Best ignore my original review below. First impressions aren’t always correct. I’ve just worn this on my first long ride test of it and I have to say it works. No itching. Put my helmet on without the balaclava and itching withing 5 minutes. Upgraded score from ** to ****. Still expensive for one balaclava but it does the job. I’m dubious about how pure Silk this balaclava actually is? Would a real silk balaclava have a nylon label in it? Would a real silk balaclava make my hair go static? I doubt it. For £16 I thought I was getting four of these but there’s only one. I think my two stars are generous.
