Maha MH-C808M Intelligent Fast Battery Charger : no grumbles here
I've had this a while now so I feel confident in writting a review.I'd previously bought something else but I had to return it as the PSU was a bit dicky (it switched off if you moved the cable even slightly)So I bit the bullet and spent a bit more money to buy something with a rep for being top of it's gameAll I can say is there's a reason this charger is considered the best.It feels very solidIt works wellThe batteries do not become overheated (which would damage them)It's an all round good quality unit(and the seller delivered very quickly too)

Good battery charger
essential if you have lots of batterys, charges fast eg AA about 1hour , D cell a lot longer maybe 6 hours if 10,000mah capacity, power cord seems bit loose so falls out sometimes other than that so far good

Performed well but broke after 9 months
Initially I was very pleased with this charger - I'd have rated it 5 stars as it performed well (as described in other reviews). However after 9 months of limited usage (a couple of times a month), it no longer works (the LED on the power brick fails to light up so I'd assume the issue is in that component). Given the price, this level of reliability is disappointing (I rememeber seeing a number of negative reviews for this unit on the amazon.com site when buying but decided to take a chance).

Worth paying the extra for...
Not very often, but every once in awhile you come across a product that really deserves praise. This is most certainly one such product. Although it costs an arm and a leg, it's well worth paying the extra for, simply because it does such a good job. With so many gadgets demanding different sizes of batteries it's impossible to predict whatever size your next gadget might use. So it's best to future proof yourself the best you can. This charger does that admirably. Although the cost might make your eyes water for awhile, as soon as you start to use it in earnest, the tears will soon disappear and all will be forgiven.

Works superbly, but it failed after 2.5 years so deducted one star
I first bought this in January 2015 and it recently failed and I bought another. I don't really mind the cost as it's not huge per year even now, and probably offset by the economics of rechargeable batteries, especially as I am well prepared to believe a charger like this can maximise their life. However it grates a bit to be junking a fair bulk of non-recycleable plastic after less than 3 years. Any consumer electronic device that is not dirt cheap should last at least 5 years to the 99th percentile ... clearly not the case here. By the way, having bought a replacement, I established it is actually the power supply brick (PSU) that broke. The charger itself is still OK. The trouble is, the power supply is a very unusual one, with its DIN plug and dual voltages. I think it would be very difficult to buy a generic replacement supply. But if you can find one, or already have one, worth a try.

The best charger I've ever had
This is amazing charger. I've been using it for over a year, now. It seems much 'kinder' to batteries and gets more charge in them, without overheating them.It has been able to charge batteries that my previous charger would not. They had been in the battery recycling bag, waiting to be thrown out, but I put them in this, selected the 'condition' mode, and they were resurrected. I'm still using them, regularly. The only negative points: it can't do PP3 batteries and it does get warm if you are charging eight batteries at once (which I now avoid doing). It is expensive, but I think, over time, I'll recover a lot of the cost by not having to keep replacing batteries that less capable charger have wrecked. Previous chargers just seem to to wear out batteries in a matter of months.
