fits the bill perfectly
Recently diagnosed with High blood pressure my GP advised me to monitor it at home. I tried the more basic Omron model but the cuff wouldn't go round my bicep which although slightly flattering was a bit of a pain when it popped off. I found out that this model would cater for both smaller and larger arm sizes and all you had to do was pop it round your arm, the shape is already there to be honest so sometimes I just slide my arm in, make sure the tube is at the bottom and it is about 1cm away from the crook of your elbow.Voila! it was easy peasy.Because it fits so well, is so easy to use and will alert you to any issues or problems, I am very confident when using it that the readings I get are accurate. It's a little pricier than some but I think it's a happy medium and is worth getting over the more basic models. It also comes with batteries and a little carry bag. All in all I would highly recommend it.

Simplisticly easy to use.
Simplisticly easy to use… already have one just the same. Purchased quite a few years ago. Purchased this second one, so instead of having to pay, and the logistics problem related to same, to have it calibrated… having this second one is easier. Original one has never really needed calibration, but hey ho, I like a back up of stuff. It is all round easy to use, and I thought to purchase this second one a good investment, at the price. And you don’t need to be a ‘techie’ to use it. The family need to do annual pressure readings, periodically also when needed. To do a range of them (readings) over a few days, yourself, and chart them, average them out, in the peace of own usual surroundings, is the CORRECT WAY. A ‘one off’ reading like that often done in front of a medic, is not an accurate and safe way to do it. You don’t have to be a medic to actually know this.Having researched this on the WWW, THIS IS SO.But don’t take my word for it, do your own research. It is not difficult to see the logic of these facts.I recommend this bit of equipment.RD.

Blood pressure monitor
A good blood pressure monitor to have at home, functions similar to the ones our GP uses so familiar with the machine and easy to read. The cuff is good and comfortable. We've not used the memory function as always have to note on chart for GP. We think it's a good machine and value for money. It uses double A batteries that seem to last forever. Small machine so fits into a drawer for storing.

Better cuff should allow for more accurate readings
The main selling point of this device compared to other devices or cheaper Omron devices (like M2 or M1 models) is the better arm cuff, which should reduce the number of false readings, occurring typically when traditional cuffs are not positioned properly. The Omron "Intelli Wrap cuff" is semi-rigid all around (standard arm cuffs only have a measurement area in one section, with the rest being fabric), and therefore can take measurements regardless on how the cuff is rotated around the arm.In addition, there is a green light on the device indicating whether the cuff is positioned properly or not. I thought that light would be active as soon as the cuff is placed, but it's only working when the start button is pressed and the cuff starts inflating. There are also two warning LEDs against SYS and DIA if the reading is above either or both of the standard numbers.Device automatically keeps in memory a number of readings. Only setting up the date and time is required as part of the initial set-up, and it's optional anyway.Device can store data for 2 separate users, but has also a guest mode for taking one-off measurements of other people.Device is easy to use and seems well made. Display is large and clear. Carry case is flimsy, but is large enough to accommodate the reader and cuff.I feel the price paid (£40) was a bit high, particularly when Amazon dropped the price by £10 two days after I bought the device.

Special cuff really makes a difference.
In my opinion, this is a very good BP monitor and seems far more accurate and reliable than my previous machine.I usually take 3 readings every morning and the Omron M3 has already proven more accurate, getting regular readings, where the previous machine would vary wildly. The special, semi-rigid cuff, makes a real difference - it's more comfortable and most importantly provide more consistent readings.Unlike my previous machine it only tends to inflate once, where the old one would inflate 2 - 3 times and whenever it did, my BP would appear high - 5 mins later and only 1 inflation, the reading would be close to normal. The display is nice, clear and easy to read. The memory function (with the facility to keep readings for 2 users) and option for a 3 reading average are all very useful. My only slight gripe, is it would be nice to have a colour based system on screen for Low, Normal, High Normal etc to make for quick interpretation.Apart from that it's all very good and I've suggested my Mother replace her machine with a new Omron M3 Comfort.

Quality Product
I have used heart monitors for the last 25 years including earlier models of Omron. This is the best blood pressure monitor to date. I have validated against hospital equipment and it is accurate. It is really easy to use - for example it automatically checks that the cuff is correctly worn. Whilst is it slightly heavier on battery usage the quality and accuracy is well worth it. (I use rechargeable batteries. Save a fortune!) Excellent product.

A good choice
Straightforward to use with useful 2 person memory and an averaging feature of the last three readings. Accurate readings when benchmarked against another device.
