Heavy Duty Mirror Fittings, Picture or photo Frame Fixings Very Strong. New, Silver

These fixings are just about the best available for fixing framed mirrors to the wall - far better than anything that can be achieved with strings or wires! Very sturdy and hold the mirror nicely against the wall. Only small note of caution: if you put a screw into the bottom hole of the wall anchors, it can be very difficult to get the mirror on and off the wall because the screw head gets in the way. I found this out after a half-hour battle to coax/fight the mirror off the wall after the initial fitting (the wall still needed painting)! Slight design flaw there. When I finally succeeded (with the help of a screwdriver to slightly bend the hook so that the strap could get past the screw head, one side at a time), I removed the bottom screw (which was overkill anyway for a fairly light mirror) and re-hung without any issue at all and it now works perfectly. We also used these to hang a huge mirror in our stairway - only 10kg (acrylic) but enormous. These worked perfectly for that one.

Bought to hold my large mirror to the wall, very secure

Reassuringly strong fixings that keep my large, heavy oak framed mirror close and at a good angle to the wall.Initially, upon receipt, they maybe looked a little smaller and flimsier than I had expected but upon inspection I could tell that they were indeed good strong fixings.I was attaching a particularly large and heavy mirror to a somewhat dodgy/crumbly wall that I had previously had many issues getting a good fix in with other hanging systems.This system reassuringly allowed for two wall fixings on each hook (four in total) which put my mind at rest somewhat as there was no longer a single point of failure on each end of the mirror.Hanging the mirror was also a breeze compared to other systems as we just had to angle the frame end of the fixing backwards which stayed in place and located nicely as we lowered the mirror down the wall catching on the hook (no awkward reaching behind the mirror whilst lifting in order to locate any brackets/hangers).If I had another large mirror or picture that I needed to hang an a wall (dodgy or not) I would definitely buy again.

Great product, I put a large mirror up with them and they were fine, but I would be slightly hesitant to use these on an extremely heavy item as the fittings are in my opinion a little thin for a very heavy item.
