Works fine - a bit hard to read results properly though
Very easy to use and instant results but found reading the results a bit tricky. Used the mobile app to take pics of the results but wasn't sure it was representing the results properly so went back to using the colour charts which are sadly a bit tiny and hard to read. Good value if you're on a budget but next time I might use something different.

Neat little pond testing kit
This takes me back to school chemistry lessons. The box contains a neat little metal tube and an instruction sheet printed in miniature, in a zillion different languages. The tube holds several colour cards. You dip a card in the water, move it about a bit, then shake off the excess water. You then check it against the chart printed on the side of the tube, which shows six different indicators of water quality (chlorine, pH, nitrites, nitrates etc). As long as the colours on your card match the acceptable range of colours on the chart, you are cushty.It's easy to use, though believe it or not I had trouble figuring out the direction of the card against the chart (it's bottom up by the way). Which is why I did badly in school chemistry. For all I know, the chart is 100% accurate as there is no independent means of verifying it (other than paying a professional lab to do a test). This company specialises in all things piscine, so I guess they know what they are doing. I found my water was slightly alkaline, which figures as there were a couple of breezeblocks in there. Not a very good idea. But I can't think of a better way of propping up the plants.Goldfish are tough little beasts that seem to cope with a variety of conditions. But it's good to know their environment is reasonably well-balanced.
