The Wedding Dress: 300 Years of Bridal Fashion

This is a beautiful book i have been after this for some time,the illustrations and pictures with the information are just so brilliant i can not put it in words,i have a real interest in fashion and have often wondered how and why the wedding dress came about and what the history is,this shows some of the earliest wedding dresses and how the colour's were used and how we reached the white wedding dress,this is a very informative book with some very nice photos of dresses,this is a lovely book would be great for anyone who was doing a history project it would be of great help,well worth owning.

Fascinating - I thought the book really supplemented the exhibition at the V&A museum. It has detailed text and is set out in a manner covering the history in a fluid and overlapping way which I thought was very pertinent for the subject. Informative and enjoyable - but I do like reading about bridal fashions. I think bridal fashion pinpoints fashion influences in a very unique way.

Edwina's book was inspirational. I met Edwina at the V&A and she helped me with my ideas for my dissertation. A generous gentlewoman and a fabulous, well researched, beautifully photographed book.

Pictorially a joy to hold and peruse. A beautiful book to own. It could never be the same on any platen device.

Having purchased two copies of this expensive book, I was disappointed that one of the copies had superficial damage to the cover caused by a puncture through the cardboard wrapper.It was not that bad that I would return the book,but would expect more protection for two books that will become reference books for students of fashion.

A Christmas present to my wife, not had a good look at it yet but a quick look seems very good indeed.

Wer Kleider liebt und vor allem Hochzeitskleider, kann an diesem Bildband nicht vorbei kommen. Ich sekbst habe die Austellung in London gesehen und war vollkommen begeistert. Der Bildband ist sehr hochwertig gefertigt und Bilder wie Text sind super gesetzt. Ein echtes Highlight das jetzt mein Bücherregal schmückt.
