Okay, so here’s the thing… my girlfriend, lord bless her, is crazy about Beauty and the Beast. So, in my cleverness I thought it’d be nice to find her a rose of some kind to represent it, and naturally in my search I stumbled upon this little beauty (excuse the pun).There are many alternative and competing products of this type, but I like the style of this, the wood base, the glass case and of course the little led fairy lights.I was worried however, that it would look cheap and tacky, and she would just laugh and hate it. I needn’t have worried however, because she loved it.When finished this looks great, if you don’t think you’ll use the lights then admittedly it will look better without them, certainly during the day when they are so visible. However when lit up it does look very pretty, and there’s a choice of lighting patterns available from slow to rapid and everything in between, including one that goes through each in turn.BE WARNED - Setup is a fiddly, frustrating nightmarish event dreamt up by demons in the very pits of hell haha - But it’s worth it in the end. The trick is in trying to get the bottom leaves to sit right, whilst sliding the glass case over whilst simultaneously keeping the rose petals on the base, and believe me, fun it is not; patience and care are required in abundance. I’m particularly fussy about such things, so it took me a few attempts to get the leaves right, and even longer to get the lights right. I found that if all the lights are under the top of the rose then the top is too dark, so I eventually did it again with at least one light hovering above the rose.Note – the petals are big, and at first it does seem that the base just isn’t wide enough, however if you lower the glass onto them they ‘should’ flick back in at natural angles that looks like they’ve fallen from the rose, which after all is the aim. There’s also tonnes of petals, way more than you need, so if you ruin any you have plenty of spares.The quality of the product is actually surprisingly good, and I was genuinely impressed with how real both the leaves and the petals look. It’s also nice that the cover is actual glass and not plastic.Power is drive via USB cable, but these days with so many devices using this form of power lead it is easy enough to power (just use a phone/tablet style charging plug).What I honestly thought would simply be nothing more than a gimmick present, turned out to be a lovely gift, one that looked great and was well received by the better half!UPDATE – unfortunately I’m not sure this product available as I bought it anymore, the link seems to now be for just flowers, but looks like you can still buy a glass case separately. Shame as this was a nice gift.

I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend who loves beauty and the beast. What shocked me at first is that the case is actually glass. I had expected this to be plastic.The base is a Light wood, the legs are detailed and unfortunately glue is visible, but only when turned upside down so you don't actually see this during normal use.To fit the rose into the case took 2 people! Firstly the rose itself had a stem that was far too long, so as you can see from the images quite a lot was removed to fit it in. We then realised after putting the rose in that the lights also had to travel through the small hole in the base also.The lights themselves are also different from those picture. They have a black cord not clear but I actually preferred this.The steps to get the set up in the picture involved putting the lights through the base first. Then putting the rose in small hole to wedge it. Then wrapping the lights around the rose (we used the inside of a kitchen roll to put the rose in to get the lights spread around it). Then placing the glass bell on top. We then carefully placed the petals on the bottom for effect.We only used 4 extra petals and the pack has around 75 in, so you have an excess for anything else. It's probably not worth the £29 price tag in all honesty, but the finished product is very stunning and provides the desired effect.A good product all round, let down by the assembly being very fidgety!4 out of 5 stars because the finished product looks nice.

Good set to imitate the beauty and the beast enchanted rose. I am a fan of the movie and the rose with the dome and the base do look similar to that in the movie. I was surprized on the good side about the presentation. It comes well protected and they also send a bang and a card to use as a gift which I thought it was a really good idea. The things I liked were the rose since its is beautiful made and the dome. Now the petals lack of delicacy, they are very thick and look very fake unlike those from the rose. The wooden base its pretty but is unstable. It comes only with 3 legs which makes it wobble a lot it should either have 4 or none at all. The installation process is super simple. Since you just need to roll the wire with the lights around the rose after you have passed the lights through the hole in the base. After that you just need to place the rose in its place and decorate with 3-4 petals (they send you 8 but they don't fit and you woundn't want that many anyways. After that just place the dome on top of the base and plug the lights.Overall good product but has issues that they need to work on. For the price I paid I was expecting better quality of product.

I ordered this as a valentines day present for my wife as it was a little different from the usual bunch of flowers. When it arrived I was surprised to see that it was a real glass dome and not plastic as I suspected it would be. The assembly was pretty easy and the lights all worked really well. This is a very nicely made fairly inexpensive gift that I and my wife are really happy with.

One of the little legs was broke so I just glued it back on and it seams fine apart from that I cant wait to see it working . Its a Christmas present so got to wait a bit
