Quay Furniture Set Woodcraft Construction Kit FSC

I really enjoyed building these sweet little pieces of furniture. They are 1/24 scale and fit my dollhouse with 4-1/2" to 5" tall rooms. You WILL need glue. The piece of sandpaper that came with the kit was rediculously small. You'll need more (very fine) sandpaper since most of the pieces will have a few rough edges once you punch them out, plus some legs will need to be sanded down so the piece will sit level. As for how easy to punch, some were easy-peasy, and others were very fiddly, mostly because it seems the manufacturer's die punch must have needed to be sharpened. Some of the pieces got a bit damaged trying to punch them out, and I was EXTREMELY careful. I was very disappointed with the bathroom pieces, especially the bathtub... not very well designed. I'm going to have to buy a separate bathroom set. I also was not pleased with the sofa, but I've cut out some foam pieces to make a larger, padded sofa. I would have also rather had a refrigerator, washer and dryer rather than the outdoor lounger set, so I'll have to source those items as well as a decent bathroom. I would recommend keeping all the little pieces you've punched out. I managed to craft a little computer and several shelves and other items for around the house out of the waste pieces, including the tiny round pieces which I glued to a button to make a realistic looking plate of scones. The set is a great value for the money. This set is for our five-year-old granddaughter's Christmas gift.

Great set! I got it for my kids to go with their playmobil people. Fits nicely. The bathtub is a little too narrow for the adults and without modification the rocking chair will tip over when one of them sit in it. The chairs are a tight fit, but still fit. It's a product well worth the money and a lot of fun. Fun to assemble and the directions are easy enough to follow. My 4 year old helped with the easier stuff like the chairs and tables, and enjoyed it. When it was time to put together the bookcase and stove he lost his patience and left the room. If you're not a crafty person and don't have any time and energy for crafts, this is probably not for you - just spend the extra money and buy the playmobil furniture or whatever people you're gonna use this for, but I enjoyed putting it together and seeing the different kinds of furniture come together. Now my son loves playing with it.

I bought this to go along with a Sylvanian Families cottage for my 5yr old daughter, as the price for the official furniture is somewhat steep. The set comes as 4 3mm x 235mm x 375mm sheets of plywood and each furniture component is of the push out type. Supplied was the worlds smallest square of sandpaper to smooth away any sharp edges and these were few and far between. The instructions were "sparse" to put it mildly...each part is drawn on a plan matching those on the plywood and numbered...if two pieces have the same number, then they fit together basically. The way in which the furniture was designed to fit together was a brilliant idea in my opinion...all push fit and almost every piece can be put together without the need for glue. I would so far as to say that they could be used as toys, with a little care. I doubt they'd last very long with prolonged periods of being thrown about and certainly would not survive being stamped on by size 6 feet, although, how many of todays toys would? :P Most of the parts fit together perfectly, but I think I'll be taking my dremel to some of them over the coming days to "tweak" a few bits...all the more fun for me :) All in all, I would buy again without reservation. As a rough guide to the size of the furniture, each piece looks to be in proportion with each other and I measured the double bed at 87mm L x 75mm W x 48mm H (at the top of the headboard) in case anyone wondered.

Got this set out during the summer holidays to put together with the grand children. We were all impressed: the peices popped out easily and were easy to handle. The 11 year old cracked on and assembled the more complicated peices, the 7 year old managed the simpler items, but didn’t have the concentration for anything more complex, however both enjoyed painting and playing with what they made. I enjoyed it too but as I need new glasses, I struggled a bit with the enclosed diagrams! Altogether great value art project for a rainy day, especially for the 11 year old who happily spent most of the day engaged with it all, and said the next day how much she enjoyed herself!

I ended up a little disappointed with this kit, but shouldn't, because of the price. sheet one was brilliant and all the pieces popped out easy and went together well, but it all started going down-hill from then on. pieces started to break easy because they hadn't been cut properly at the factory and I even started to get pieces that weren't lining up right. after breaking pieces that wouldn't come out properly, I ended up having to buy another yet to make replacements, which I shouldn't need to do. that said, when everything goes to plan and the parts are glued together, these do look rather nice, so are clearly good value in that respect. if these are going to be played with, then I recommend gluing these together as I have anyway. my only issue which I`ve yet to discover, I have the matching house to build yet and I`m convinced this furniture will be too big for it, but we`ll see! so for £9.99, I think this kit is pretty good, but expect to break a few pieces!!

Super et très simple de suivre le manuel de montage mais il faut être un peu délicat pour détacher et emboîter les pièces qui sont fragiles.

Fáciles de montar, y abundantes en cantidad. Lo peor, el precio, los que venden en establecimientos chinos son imitaciones de este visto lo visto y después de montar uno y otro, eso si, valen una quinta parte.

Brauchte ich um ein Jugendzimmer darzustellen. Man muss vorsichtig beim raustrennen sein, aber danach ist alles super.

Excellent. Arrived quickly and quality is very nice. It is sturdy and pieces pop out easily with no rough edges.
