Best food container on the market
Wonderful container and the cheapest price on the market. I recently got the bug for a (little OCD) reorg of my pantry. I wanted all the flours, sugars, grains, pastas to be in their containers. The containers needed to be airtight, light, clear, square and.nice. And this products meets all the requirements. I have bought several now and labeled them - they look stunning! On a technical note, they are much lighter than glass jars (I am always concerned about breaking the shelves), they are airtight (got a moth infestation in my dry soup mix not long ago) and they are easy to open and close. I would recommend them to every one. In particular the 1.4lt version as it's perfect for a pack of 1kg of sugar or flour (with some little extra space at the top so it does not get squashed).

Expensive but good will last a very long time.
Let's not kid ourselves, these cost a lot especially when your buying a whole cupboard full of them, but they are very good quality with really thick plastic, i have no doubt they will last a very long time. The push button mechanism makes then really easy to use and acts as a handle while allowing them to stack up nicely when closed. Gone are the days of the horrible container where you have to clip the little edges and struggling with them because the container has warped a little. They are airtight which is good for keeping things fresh and moisture out. They can be easily disassembled and cleaned all the way through which is very nice.

Look great, updated version is even better
Since I bought this in 2018, OXO have updated the design to fix some issues. The tub itself is very sturdy, but the weak point was the pop top - several of mine have broken, the internal mechanism just suddenly snapped. It's also tricky to wash the lid. But I'm not sorry that I kitted out my kitchen with them, they make storing rice, flour etc so much easier and they look great.

Fab storage container
This is a fantastic storage container which doesn't take up much storage space in my kitchen cupboard. It holds one standard packet of biscuits (although you could potentially cram a few more in). It does keep your biscuits/cookies fresh for a lot longer than normal biscuit barrels. If you are looking for a jar to hold more biscuits/cookies I would opt for a larger size or the biscuit jar. The seal is very tight and the push button top is fantastic - no trying to unlock or screw off tops. This would be ideal for people who suffer with arthritis or do not have much strength in their hands. Container comes with instructions on how to remove the top/seal for cleaning. I will certainly be buying more in the larger size.

Very Good Quality Food Storage Solution
We're sure you've tried various types of containers in the past to store food, such as plastic snap containers or re-sealable bags, but none of these ever seems to keep the food fresh for long. However, these new OXO pop canisters seem to do the job much better. They are also very easy to seal and unseal, by simply pressing the centre of the lid down to seal and unseal the container. Once sealed the lid is held very securely with an excellent seal and so keeps the food fresh for longer. They are also very easy to clean as the parts of the lid come apart including the rubber seal. Very good quality for the price - but be careful, check on Amazon before buying for elsewhere!

The ultimate spaghetti jar.
I absolutely love the oxo good grips brand, and we’ve bought quite a few of their products before. We’ve had a smaller, square storage jar like this one for about 3 years and it’s still as good as new. So when packets of spaghetti kept fallen out of the cupboard and dispersing all over my Kitchen floor, I knew the only storage jar I’d get for new packets would be by good grips. This is such a simple design, no force needed to open the lid at all, but keeps the pasta super sealed. Just bear in mind that it won’t fit in a normal cupboard as it’s tall (like the packet of spaghetti!) we just keep ours on the counter. It takes up very little room.

Good clean spartan design
Our kitchen units are crammed with cylindrical containers of all sorts of ingredients, and I finally decided to get irked by the waste of space that cylinders represent in the great scheme of things, all that space wasted with a circular cross section that could be taken up with foodstuffs! These have gently rounded corners and slightly tapering sides, but just enough to get a grip on them without wasting precious cubic centimetres. Yes, our old cupboards are not huge, and we really don't like things cluttering the worktops, especially storage things. I thought that the press down button atop each container was to create a slight vacuum effect in the container, but it is actually just to push the black silicone seal on the lid outward to seal the container. It's a neat system, but it remains to be see how this works out for durability (so I've not rated durability yet). The heights of the various containers are well worked out (at least for our cupboards) to fit into typical shelves while leaving a bit of headroom to make things easier to take out. It's worth measuring to see whether your units will work well with them. Having the slight taper top to bottom, and the slightly rounded corners really helps make them easy to pick out from a set, and we've already noticed that we're getting better quantities of stuff like pasta and rice stored. They're a doddle to clean as well. We wash new storage containers by habit, so that was the first thing we noticed. Again the rounded corners meant nothing could hide, and the lid was simple to clean too, although it needs to be separated into two components to wash and dry properly - it does this with a simple twist before separating the two parts. I'm not too keen on things that need a bit of simple disassembly to do something routine like cleaning, especially things that can break fairly easily, so I'm hoping that they shouldn't need regular washing out. With dry foodstuffs this should be the case. It doesn't affect the star rating, but the slick smoothness might make them "interesting" to pick up with wet hands, something we don't do much anyway. If that's a problem then Oxo might need to make silicone grip bands or some handy invention like that, which slides up the taper of the container until it fits tightly - but that's just the inventor in me speaking. They're good out of the box, let's see how they stand up to some torture!

Moronic packaging
Container was secured by sellotape which when (very carefully) removed left sticky glue on the lid and both sides of the container. Another label was attached to the container which also left a residue. I have spent an hour trying to remove the glue and it is proving impossible. The container is ruined aesthetically, I cannot believe the stupidity in using such packaging material on a clear plastic container. I will not be buying from OXO again.
