Brilliant
For the first time Ive been able to drink the disgusting tap water we get in Nottingham, used to spend 100s of pounds on bottled water and tried the britas filters but this is certainly worth the extra money[even if replacement filters are expensive].Like many I replaced the plastic tap with a stainless steel one, looks better and works better.and bought a stand, which says 5l/8l but this stands on the top not inside the ring, put first lot of nasty tasting chlorine smelly tap water in and after throwing away the first filtering as it says I found the resulting water smelled of nothing and no nasty taste, bought a couple of 2l plastic juice/water holders and keep these full and in the fridge while filtering more water.Only down side I found is that once the bottom half is full if you have too much left in the filter half it leaks from the gap, woke up one morning with a big puddle on the counter top otherwise I can found no faults what so ever and wish Id bought this ages ago,,it will pay for itself within 6 months now I dont need to buy bottled water any more...Oh and no furred up kettle either

Very quick and supportive customer service
This item is compact, simple to use and produces wonderfully soft water with no after taste or smell. It is the perfect replacement for the Brita Filter jugs I had been using for years. My only concern is that assembly instructions were not entirely clear - no information about what level to fill the top tank to, and no clue that to tighten the nut behind the inside tap washer 'as tight as you can' involved the use of tools. After a couple of frustrating days of severe flooding of the kitchen floor I discovered:Fill the top tank only to the top of the filters then DO NOT add more until the bottom tank is empty (there is no seal between the two tanks), to avoid overflow from the bottom tankUnless you have EXTREMELY strong hands you need a pair of pliers to tighten the nut behind the tap sufficiently to stop major leakage from the outer washer seal behind the tap.Customer services were very quick in their response (less than three hours which, given that we are in lockdown and everyone is working from home, was impressive. However they directed me to their website for a video to help me. I found the website but no video so had to look up the item itself independently from the website.Time will tell if it's true value for money but so far I'm very satisfied with it.

Used it for well over a year now.
I did buy the metal tap available for the unit as a friend has a failure on one supplied (although it was after a lot of use.)Ours does one or two tank fills a day to supply two or three people with all water needed for cooking and drinking. Excited and vortexed water on fill and post filter stored in glass containers where we have shungite as a further water purifier. Hey, why not, we are all mostly water and why not put in as good as you can!The filter is a good un… stand on the worktop near the kitchen sink and it’s right there to fill and empty with very little fuss.A couple of minutes to decant and refill at night before you turn in ….Does what the manufacturers say and is a decent and well made bit of kit.

Well worth the initial outlay
OK so recently moved and the water filter jugs just weren't enough, our tap water is absolutely disgusting and destroyed a kettle with limescale after only two weeks using bottled and water jug filter water. The difference is amazing, fresh clear and no after taste. Easy to use. I did read the reviews about the tap and on opening the box thought two of the washers were missing but put it together anyways... only to find washers were attached to the tap... doh! But... IT DOESNT LEAK IF YOU LEAVE THE WASHERS OFF! The only downside is that it has to be placed next to the sink as I'm too stingy to pay £40 for the stand. It's only been two weeks so will update if the plastic tap does start leaking but on the whole it was definitely worth the money, no more plastic bottles and even the cats and dog drink it as was having to get them rain water from the water butt in the garden as they wouldn't touch the bottled water. Have taken a star off as should really come with a stand to make it serviceable

Really love this.
Water in my area really hard and tastes like salt and chlorine.Tried lots filter jugs but a filter lasts 5 days because the hard water. So asked friends and recommended this one.Only had it two weeks but i really like it easy to put together and looks really nice big shiny stainless steel ting on counter top.Should work out cheaper than buying the jug filters aswell. And only need fill it twice a day.You know when need to fill it as the pressure of water coming out the tap turns to a trickle instead of a flow.My tap water if leave out for an hour and try drink some has rancid taste bitter and not nice. The Berkeley water tastes sweet out the tap.And i left out overnight and drank some in morning and still tastes nice.I put a stainless steel tap on it as looks nicer and more sturdy than a plastic one.No complaints it makes water taste nice again.

SIMPLE TO ASSEMBLE AND USE
I had been looking for water purifier tablets when I came across the Berkefeld water filter. I used to live on Dartmoor and had a filtration system that used silver and ceramic candles and I was happy with the results. The fact that this system uses Royal Doulton candles gave me the confidence to order. I intend to use in my Motorhome as I tour Europe next year. Currently set up by my kitchen sink and performing well.I felt that the cost was a bit more than I would have liked to pay but if I get a years filtration, I am reasonably content.

Wash it before using it
You need to wash (dishwashing) every piece of the kit or you'll find a gasket taste everytime you drink a glass.Except that washing step, everything went fine and water is so delicious ! Just water !
