I bought these to replace a set of rope lights that we've had for a few years. I was expecting a large package, but they came in a very small box and wondered if I'd ordered the wrong item. In actual fact they were just thinner than our originals and more flexible. The lights are brighter and the colours more vibrant. The plug which also contains the transformer and wireless transmitter/receiver for the control is rather long and will not fit into a standard outdoor weatherproof wall socket. I bought a 4 gang outdoor waterproof box to hold it, and this solution works well, particularly if you have more than one set of lights. I love the small remote which allows you to change the light sequence from indoors. All in all a good set of lights.

I bought two of this led rope light. Both were working fine, but only one of the remote controls was working. I replaced the battery, with no luck.I returned the one which doesn’t work, and ordered a new one. It was delivered today. Again, the light is working, but not the remot control!!! I replaced the battery again, still not working.I am not keen of having a remote control to switch the light on/off, as my whole pond light system is on a timer.. but I need to select the mood, and dim the light to match the others. Not happy

I've had rope lights before and thought these might be similar. They're quite skinny and flimsy and the plug is too long to fit in my outdoor plug socket so I can't actually use them outdoors. Not sure why a normal plug couldn't have been used. I realise looking at it now that the picture shows this unusually long plug, I just didn't see it. Now going to have to shop again to buy ones I can actually use outside. I appreciate this is a bit of a 'western world problem' but nevertheless a bit frustrating.

Followed instructions for activating remote controller without success. E-mailed supplier for clarification and received back a video showing what to do. Video conflicted with the written instructions, and was no more informative or helpful in getting remote to work. Gave up and used the push button selector on the power plug instead.Light string is rather flimsy.

Good lights for outside use. So pleased with them that we bought more! Hoping they are fully waterproof. Lights arrived on time.

I don't often write reviews but these were really bad. No way would they be £40 full price. The picture is misleading as they are a lot thinner. Also couldn't get the remote to work. Bad instructions and you have to pair it somehow with the plug. Present for my niece which I am returning. Not great at all

You get a lot for your money! Quality feel, nice selection of controls on the remote, would recommend
