It doesn't have a strong artificial fruit smell like other children's brands. It goes on light but lathers very well. I have used it at times when caught out in the shower and it leaves my hair quite soft and nice. My daughter found the lid difficult to open though so I leave it open. I think it does need to be followed with a conditioner. It does have chemicals in it despite being marketed like it was an all natural organic product, but it's a nicer item to use than standard grocery store shampoos. If you want a product cg approved, shampoo isn't normally available but the conditioners all silicone free. In the cg world its normally co wash and conditioner or like us just conditioner. \nThe child farm strawberry and mint conditioner is our favourite due to its amazing scent. It leaves hair easy to rectangle whilst product is in.
