Very nice and writes really well.
I really like this one. It is a very affordable pen and the overall quality turns out to be very good. The full body is made of metal and it has a very nice finish. It is not very heavy in your hand and writes surprisingly smooth. I have always used the old good Parker Vector, and the diffence is huge. Of course, you still have plastic components here and there, but I strongly recommend it. It is a great fountain pen for everyday use :).

Well Weighted
As I have grown older I have become gradually more obsessive with writing in a nice clear hand, my ultimate aim would be to obtain a Mont Blanc; however, in the current climate I cannot justify the outlay without experimenting with other pens first. I chose this and the accompanying Ballpen due to its clear definitive lines and weight. It was delivered within 2 days of placing the order and i have not been disappointed with the quality of the nib. It does not scratch the paper like cheaper versions and although I was initially tempted by the new generation nibs, I feel that I have mede the right choice. You do have to order the ink adapter separately unless you want to use disposable cartridges.

Quality!
I have been looking for a decent fountain pen for ages and saw this one on offer so I couldn't resist it.It has the quality, feel and balance that you would expect from Parker plus some!I bought the piston fill with it as I am old fashioned and find cartridges too "fiddley".The combination works really well and make writing a pleasure.I cannot recommend them highly enough. The packaging and delivery were 100% too. This is one very satisfied customer.

Good quality pen
Had resevrations about buying naother parker pen after a new one last year disintegrated after a year of easy use. This pen has worked well and good bargain for the price. Have used the converters and will do so as much easier and convenient.

Looks great but wrote terribly at first and now not at all
Build quality seems solid and the chiselled metal looks great but this refuses to write properly even with official Parker black cartridges. Two other Parkers for half the prices work perfectly. Could be a lemon or damaged nib I suppose but for now it's a desk ornament instead of a functional pen.For the large majority of potential buyers that shouldn't really be an issue I guess. Just make sure yours writes fluently before showing it off.

Parker Pen
This is smooth writing pen, though I was hoping for a slightly finer nib. I use it everyday and it never blots or leaks.Looks good too.Phil

Very happy, good value for money.
The finishing is great and the weight of the pen is pretty nice as well. The nib is the typical parker style nib. The flow of the feeder isn't great and it will get clogged if you leave it 3-4 days without using it, but I guess at this price range this is expected. Very happy and it is very comfortable for me to write with, as it practically writes under its own weight. Don't expect flexibility in the tip.

The Parker Ball Pen has a very poor 'grip'
There are things I like about this Ball Pen; the look, the brown colour is a little bit unconventional, its overall weight is ok and the ink itself flows smoothly but the 'grip' on this Ball Pen is the worst of any I have ever used. The end of the pen (the part I hold when writing) is polished metal and looks nice BUT is so super-polished it's like silk and my fingers slip down towards the nib when I try using it (and typically I grip tightly enough to cause a pressure bump to appear at the grip point on my middle finger fairly shortly after I start writing). If instead of being polished metal, the end of the pen had been made of the same brown lacquer utilised in the shaft of the pen then I would have had no problems as that material is comfortable to hold and gives a good grip, unfortunately, it's set too far back for my fingertips to hold in order to write normally or comfortably. In addition to this, and it's not so easy to tell from the photo, but the polished end is not simply tapered but subtly concave (it has an outwards curve from the shaft to the tip) which amplifies the awkwardness of gripping the silky smooth end of this pen when writing.Out of curiosity, I've just looked back at the many positive reviews and noticed they are mainly for either the Parker Fountain Pens or the Parker Rollerballs, (which Amazon have combined with this) and both of which have differently shaped gripping ends to this Parker Ball Pen.
