A good quality and sturdy adapter meeting all of my requirements and needs
This adapter and product performs exactly as you would expect; it will connect to any device that uses USB-C for data transfer and charging (you can find if your phone uses USB-C by finding a diagram of what it looks like online, or by searching for the specification of your phone) The other end of this adapter is a standard USB port that is apparently capable of USB3 speeds although I have not tested this.I have used this adapter on various occasions over the last 6 months and it has worked every single time with a variety of devices, I have so far tested it using a webcam, and a USB3 sd card reader; the main limiting factor on what appliances it will support are your phone or tablets operating system (I have used this only on an Android 9 and 10 device)My only complaint about the product is that the USB end (blue) is very tight when trying to disconnect from your appliance and sometimes it feels like it is going to break; this end is also slightly bent out of shape so this may be the cause of my issue.Overall, very happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

Lost your Dragonfly Cobalt Dragontail lead? This is your inexpensive replacement!
I lost my AudioQuest Dragonfly Cobalt "Dragon tail" lead.I could not source a replacement USB A female to USB C lead from AudioQuest at all. Other genuine Dragontail leads, (with the wrong type connectors) were available at extortionate prices online for £25 plus.Luckily I found this Anker lead which is virtually identical to the AudioQuest lead, at a small fraction of the price! This is an excellent replacement lead and everything is fine with the DAC again connected to my mobile.High quality sound using the DAC has resumed again. If you need a replacement lead, this is the one!

Great little device allowing me to connect my USB stick to my Android phone
I’ve been using the Anker USB-C to USB 3.1 Adapter for a while now, and it’s turned out to be a really handy little gadget. My phone's storage is always maxed out, so this adapter has been a lifesaver. I load up my USB stick with movies and TV series and connect it to my phone. The connection is solid—no lag issues at all, and the quality on screen always seems just fine. It's great to be able to watch my media without worrying about my phone’s storage and without any interruptions or drop in quality.

Very useful for file transfer on phones with USB-C
The product:This works great with my Samsung Note 8. I can transfer files to and from my phone quickly to USB sticks, which is why I bought it. Build quality is good and it does exactly what I want it to. Highly recommended. Some background Information on why I bought it:I have always transferred files from an OTG USB stick from my PC to my phone using my trusty Sandisk. SanDisk SDDD2-016G-GAM46 Ultra Dual USB 3.0 Flash Drive However my Note 8, has a USB-C port, so the Sandisk won't fit. Undeterred, I used the adapter that comes with the Note 8, however that didn't work. I contacted Samsung about it, and after some questions about what I was trying to do, they asked me to send my phone away, which I was not prepared to do. (I was also invited to take my phone to a "drop-in" centre, but I didn't believe there was anything wrong with my phone. Anyway, I bought a USB-C Sandisk stick SanDisk Ultra 64 GB Dual USB Flash Drive USB 3.0 Type-C, which worked fine in my phone, but cannot be used while the phone is in its protective case, and the case, although excellent, is awkward to get on and off in a hurry. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 case, i-Blason [Ares] Full-body Rugged Clear Bumper Case with Built-in Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 2017 Release (Black)So I still had a file transfer problem, and needed a solution to allow me to quickly and conveniently transfer files. I had a search on Amazon for USB-C OTG cables and came across this. Being an Anker product, I knew I could rely on great quality and value with excellent aftercare, so I bought it with confidence and, as expected, it worked perfectly.

Why pay more for Apple's adapter?
A very handy little adapter to marry up usb 3 or 2 with Thunderbolt on a Macbook or usb c on any other device. I’m using it on my MacBook Pro 2018 to connect hard drives, flash drives, card readers, Dragonfly DAC...all work flawlessly. It’s a perfect fit for the Thunderbolt port - not too tight or loose like some of the cheaper adapters - and it helps you take full advantage of the technology by playing its part in unlocking the lightning speeds. It’s very well made with a tough cable and moulded connectors at each end, which I prefer to others constructed of metal (e.g. aluminum) that are likely to scratch or ding your hardware and I’m not a fan of braided cables. It may cost double of others listed on Amazon (two adapters for the price of this one) but it’s well worth paying just a few quid extra for a trusted brand, quality product and peace of mind that it won’t damage your ports. Moreover, it’s less than half the price of Apple’s own product - in terms of quality and performance this matches it (and arguably exceeds it) so why pay the Apple premium?
