Fantastic Batman Blu-ray set.
The Batman movies released between 1989 and 1997 are undoubtedly a mixed bag in terms of quality, but are still an essential part of any fan's collection, This Blu-ray box-set comprises 1989's excellent 'Batman', it's worthy follow-up 'Batman Returns' (1992), the underrated 'Batman Forever' (1995) and the painfully camp and cheesy, but still entertaining 'Batman and Robin (1997).The picture and sound quality of all four films is superb and a vast improvement on their DVD counterparts. But what really makes this collection shine is the impressive array of extras, with each disc boasting documentaries, featurettes, profiles, trailers and music videos. The version of the box-set now being supplied has the discs housed in a single Blu-ray case with the basic artwork shown. While not as aesthetically pleasing as the original set (which had four individual cases, housed in a sturdy box with a shiny Batman logo), it is much more practical in size and cuts down significantly on waste too.The Batman Motion Picture Anthology Blu-ray box-set is fantastic value for money and absolute must-have for all fans of the caped crusader. Highly recommended.

Where did he get all those Blu-Rays !
Ok the Batman anthology Covers the 4 films released 1989-1997. I won't claim that all 4 films are classics seems to me that the level of Tim Burton involvment over the 4 movies is uncannily mirrored in the quality of the movies.Boxed set including the first four Batman movies.Batman (1989) Directed by Tim Burton see the start of the 4 films and a very strong start indeed. Inspired by Frank Millars Batman: Dark Knight Returns We get a strong/Dark Batman (Michael Keaton) storyline with the Joker being the main Villan (wonderfully played by Jack Nicholson)and the Gotham has a strong Gothic/Burton feel to it. 5/5 I love this filmBatman Returns. Burton Directed this movie also. Keaton Plays Batman again this time with the Penguin(Danny Devito)Max Schreck (Christopher Walkden)and Catwoman (Michelle Pffiefer), Line up for a wickedly twisted tale set against the Dark and Gothic Burton Gotham city. 4/5 Good cast, well acted, well written. I really like this filmBatman Forver The Directors role is handed over to Joel Schumacher though Burton remains onboard to produce. This outing sees Val Kilmer take on the lead role of Batman and the arrival during the film of Chris o'donnel as Robin. The Bat has 2 villians to deal with in the shape of Harvey Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and the Riddler (Jim Carey) Both of which turn in good performances with Nicole Kidman also appearing as Psycholigist Doctor chase who is Batmans love interest in this movie. This film steps away from the dark gothic Burton Gotham in favour for a more colourful neon light approach. The story isn't the best but the performances make for a credible enough film. Harvey two face seems a little wrong in the costume and at times feels a little more like the Joker mark II though the Careys performance as the Riddler works with his OTT sytle of acting which outside of the role and maybe the mask usually grates for me. not the best but fun to watch and not as awful as some reviewers have said 3/5Batman and Robin. Burton has left the franchise though Joel Schumacher stays onboard to direct again. Batman changes to George Clooney, Chris O'donnel is Robin again. The 2 Villans this time are Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarznegger) and Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman). You should always worry when in the credit list at the start of a film the 1st named actor isn't the lead! Arnie's name is 1st up followed by Clooney and a sense that the makers want to push the names in this film to make up for its short commings. The Burtonesque Gotham along with the darkness in the Batmans character seem nothing but a distant memory in this film. The Plotline is very thin and Arnies performance as Mr Freeze is very poor. They plotline offers him up as an evil villain but wants you to like him in for the good he can do. Obviously Mr Schwarznegger had long past the "Evils" of 1st Terminator film and the film company felt they can't make everyones favourite action movie hero ruthlessly evil. Well overall the film is watchable but you probably wont keep dipping back into it. 2/5 im not so keen but its watchable. All 4 films have great blu-ray picture quality and great HD mutli-channel sound. Extras appear on all 4 movies and at these cheap prices a real bargain.

FANTASTIC VALUE / GR8 FILMS
THIS IS A GR8 FILM PACKAGE FOR LESS THAN YOUR WEEKLY BREAD BILL .THE ONLY THING WHAT LET'S IT DOWN IS THE CRAPPY DOLBY DIGITAL SOUNDTRACK . THE FIRST BATMAN MOVIE HAS THE DTS HIGH MASTER SOUNDTRACK. THE REST ARE DOLBY WHICH CLEAR CONTAIN CLICKS & SPEECH DEFECTS. NO IT'S NOT MY EQUIPMENT OR EARS. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY DOLBY IS STILL BEING USED TODAY. AS IN MY OPINION IT'S GARBAGE. I E-MAILED DOLBY ABOUT THIS EARLY LAST YEAR & THEY WERE TO IGNORANT TO REPLY . TYPICAL.THE PICTURE QUALITY OF THESE MOVIES IS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN PLAYED AT THEIR NTSC RESOLUTION OF 480P .HIGH DEFINITION IN MY OPINION IS COMPLETE HYPED UP BOL****YOU GET PLENTY OF EXTRAS BUT NOT 15 HOURS AS STATED ON THE PACKAGING !BATMAN FOREVER IS THE BEST OF THE 4 MOVIES. BATMAN & ROBIN IS THE WORST.THE BEST BATMAN WAS VAL KILMER WHO IF HE HADN'T OF BEING FILMING THE SAINT WOULD OF RETURNED IN BATMAN & ROBIN .GEORGE CLOONEY REPLACES VAL KILMER IN BATMAN & ROBIN & WENT DOWN AS A TURD IN A SWIMMING POOL .MICHAEL KEATON (1ST 2 FILMS) WAS ALSO AN EXCELLENT BATMAN.SHAME ABOUT CLOONEY & DOLBY DIGITAL BUT EVERYTHING CAN'T BE PERFECT !

the best series!
i for one am of the few people that hated the new Batman series, the Dark Knight, i seriously did not like that, it's a regular action movie and has nothing else than other movies out there at the moment, these Batman filmes from the 80s and 90s, although cheesy, make you feel like you're in a real fantasy world and not where we actually live and they do seem like real comics translated into films, i really loved these when i was a kid and i had to own them on blu raynow, the quality is AMAZING, seriously, you would not believe these films go back to almost 25 years ago!a big plus for me is that the discs are Region A and B (i don't know about C) and i live in Mexico so it's great that the dubbing also comes in Mexican Spanish so i can play it to my nephews, it has a lot of subtitles for many languages too! great purchase at a great price!
