I thought I was buying a BOX of Velcro tape 20 mm x 2.5 m, given the picture on the product page and the "Product description" that states:"Box Contains: 1 x VELCRO Brand Stick On hook and loop tape 20mm x 20mm White"(note the word "Box").I received a plastic self-seal bag containing two lengths of Velcro rolled up together, one hook and one loop, both 2.4 metres long (I laid them out flat on my lounge floor and measured with my Draper 5 m steel tape). Presumably cut off individual rolls of hook and loop tape.So no box and 10 cm of tape short. Unimpressed.

We used the velcro tape to apply mesh to our windows. It's very strong, so should prevent the suicidal cat ramming it's way through, but easy enough to remove the mesh and open/close the window. Bugs can't also get around the side of the mesh as the velcro creates such a tight seal. Excellent product.

Oh, ​my this stuff is STRONG, everyone knows the velcro brand, it is the original non-adhesive, adhesive. I'm using this stuff to hang heavy picture frames, I even have it in my bathroom holding a waterproof multimedia tablet to the wall so I can watch TV in the bath. great product

Two rolls of compatible tape which when pushed together adhere as Velcro should and pull apart when you need it to. It seems to stand up to repeated use. The reverse side of each tape has a sticky surface which is covered with a 'peal-off' layer of paper (like a sticking plaster). Just press this sticky side to the surface you wish the Velcro to adhere to.I have used it to attach some strips of concealed LCD lights beneath some kitchen cupboards. It holds the light strips in place and a couple of strips attached to the battery box for the lights holds that up beneath the cupboard too.Some tips: To get the sticky side of the Velcro to adhere well to the surface you choose, make sure that surface is as clean, smooth and dry as possible. Also try to avoid surfaces which are directly subject to steam or moisture. It is not a good idea to repeatedly boil a kettle directly beneath the site you have chosen. Finally leave the Velcro in place for a little time to "settle" before you attach the other piece to it. A couple of hours should be enough but I left it overnight before I hung my battery pack with the Velcro.

Whilst we’ve been having this really hot weather I decided to open my window a lot wider than usual, so it was time to put up my insect mesh curtain.The Velcro that originally came with the curtain had already been used up, so I decided to try this for two reasons. Firstly it looked better quality and the second reason was and would last longer.When the box arrives you get one Velcro Brand Stick On hook and loop tape 20mm x 2.5m, the colour is white.It’s easy to use. You just cut the strip lengths to the size needed, then placed the Velcro strips, (the hook as the firm call it), on the window frame, (or where ever you want to use it), and then they recommend you leave it for 10 minutes to set.The other part, (the loop as the firm call it), which I attached to the insect mesh curtain and then place that on the Velcro.So the insect mesh curtain is hung properly on the window frame and is keeping the insects out.This Velcro is excellent quality and I’m glad I decided to buy this product. :-)

Velcro brand pretty much make the best of this type of product, and if the surface is flat and smooth they you are guaranteed that this will hold pretty much what you throw at it, within reason.However, on an even slightly uneven surface this will frustratingly come away. I purchase this to mount a relatively light VicoVation Vico-Power PLUS Battery Discharge Prevention Device into the glove box of my car. The VicoVation is quite light, and will be subject to vibration during travel, but the slightly mottled finish inside my glove box means that this occasionally comes away and requires re-application.I also used the item for other applications and smooth surfaces, provide a reliable, secure and lasting contact, but for the immediate need that I had the item came up short and was found wanting.

Purchased two packs of this tape to stick around our PVC window to attach an extremely lightweight bug net now that Summer is approaching.I cleaned the surface as instructed, just for the record. I did everything correctly.It stayed up for one night and fell away from the window. It had lost a great deal of its stickiness and couldn’t be put up again.Now, the product says on the box it can hold items such as photo frames on the way with this tape...No it can’t. The Velcro might be strong enough but the adhesive on the back of the tape is not.Not the quality we are used to. Read a lot of reviews suspecting it’s a fake product sold under the Velcro name, I wouldn’t be surprised given the quality.Returning and trying the “heavy duty” one. Will post a review on that page once we’ve tried it out.

With some insect mesh, this has now being transformed into window screens to keep the cat in and the insects out.
