Fantastic gift for the person who has everything.
This is one of the best products that I have purchased in a long time. It is compact enough to be carried discreetly in a pocket without being bulky. The thusaurus / dictionary is very good, but what I particularly like are some of the other aspects of this item. Being able to input data and save the info is amazing, especially clothing, shoe sizes and currency converter. For all the people who, nowadays, travel the world, whether on business or holidays, this is a must-have for the journey. Simply input the relevant details, press to save, and retrieve them when necessary. There are other similar, cheaper items in the marketplace, but this item is definitely worth the price tag.

Fantastic gadget to aid a child with spelling
Fantastic gadget to aid a child with spelling, letter reversing and tracking difficulty. This helps too if the person doesn't necessarily know the first letter of a word, not always but often. Better than I imagined as there are also lots of spelling games to play alone or with a friend that are actually fun to do. There was a novelty with it to begin with but it has proved the test of time and gone to school every day, come out of school bag to be played with regularly by choice, even taken voluntarily on holiday to be played with. Recommend, as a teacher and a parent. I want one!

Seiko Thesaurus ER2100
The use of the Seiko Concise Oxford Electronic Thesaurus ER2100 did not get off to a good start! The item is supplied with a battery but on trying to get started it was found that the battery was 'flat', but after making a million pound raid (only kidding) to our local Sainsbury to buy a new battery and the fitting of same the ER2100 burst into life. The ER2100 is easy to use and does what it says on the box. However, although holding a large number of words it does have what I consider a few omissions - for example when looking for a five letter word for 'sword' and inserting a couple of letters already available it did not come up with 'sabre'. There have been a few other cases where this has happened. The words are those that come up regularly in crosswords and are not exactly a 'rare' word which I would not expect an electronic thesaurus to have in its memory. I have been generous with the marking as I consider it nearer to a 4 star than a three star. I used to have an ancient first generation electronic 'Rogets' thesaurus which only very very rarely got defeated to which I am comparing the ER2100. All in all a good little machine but be prepared for its limitations - and have a stock of batteries to hand, just in case!!

Pretty good
This useful little gadget is pretty useful when you're pulling your hair out trying to solve that last clue. There are however, a few irritations:1) It can be very slow to draw up its list of suggested words.2)The word bank is quite good, but not as comprehensive as some online sites.3)The thesaurus frequently fails to deliver.4) The keys feel spongy and are not always responsive.5) Navigation is a pain, as it does not seem possible to move between the solver and the thesaurus without having to re-type the word.6) It would have been better to have an anagram button separate from the solver button. It is a pain to have to keep selecting the type of solver you want. However, having said all that, it is quite a reasonable buy for the money.

Efficient though very small
works well although is very small and someone with big hands might find it difficult to use. My last one had a dictionary section which this one doesn't have, but I find the anagram section very useful - my old one didn't have that.

Disappointing Product
I bought this product to replace a SeikoER6100 and am most disappointed. I missed the fact that even at the price of around£35 there is no dictionary and the hand set is so small that only 2 words at a time can be displayed on the screen. This means it is tortuously slow to use. Compare this with the 8 word displays of my original model. The searches take for ever to show. This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I paid more than for other models thinking it would be superior. Having destroyed the original box, I didn't feel I could return it.
