Q: Has anyone bought this for there kid?

I have not purchased this pillow for a child but being a mother and using this pillow personally on overseas flights, I feel it would be safe and comfortable for a child. It is very supportive but can be manipulated easily to find a very personal fit.

Q: Is it good encomfortable?

Yes, I used on a long flight to Hawaii & was able to nap without head bobbing around.
