Great product
I’ve had a few helmet straps for light and kind before when I cycle and found them a little bit loose and not very sturdy. This however is great. It allows you tighten it up effectively and is sturdy when riding which is always good and very much needed. I’d recommend it to friends

Works well. Will it last though?
I paid around £12 for this. Seemed reasonable. It fits my bike helmet very well and holds a GoPro very securely. The straps are long and should fit most helmets, indeed, people are also using these to mount the cameras to other things, e.g. across your chest using ruck sack straps on either side.My only problem with this is the catches that hold the straps in place. They don't look particularly tough and although they've been fine so far, every time I clamp them down I expect them to break. Fingers crossed, they won't!

So so good!
I use this everyday on my commute to and from work. The camera is very sturdy on this using both the full waterproof case on rainy days and the border case on sunny days. I've found to satisfy my worries I do use a screwdriver to tighten the camera to make sure it doesn't move or fall off, but this isn't necessary.Although this is quite expensive it really is worth every penny. I always leave the vent mount on my helmet with the camera adapter and just unscrew the camera case as the adapter is quite difficult to get off the vent mount. I can only see this as a bonus though.

Expensive and not very useful
Let's talk about the price: £20 for a strap and a plastic mount? Should be less than a tenner. Then it's the stability,, it's just not a very secure way of mounting a camera, there's always going to be some movement. But what I found most annoying is the additional weight of having a camera attached to my helmet, so I ditched it and use a handlebar mount instead. So, a waste of money.

Strong, robust, secure and good value. recommended
Does what it says. Not exactly aero if that is important for you but would work for a wide range of activities where this sort of helmet was being used. Note because of the high angle your speed will look slower than lower mounting positions. I would also bear in mind that having a pretty solid camera attached to your helmet could increase the risks of certain impacts. On a lighter note you do look like a total Dork, so don't expect to attract the fairer sex while wearing one.

Great cycling POV
Transitioning from quad lock handle bar mount to head mount as a car pulled out on me the other day and I realised the footage would be admissible In court. I opted for the original as I noticed the cheaper ones don’t have the rubber padding underneath, my GPH8 has hypersmooth anyway but it’s mainly to prevent rattling (if you’re good at DIY get the unbranded one. Overall very happy with the purchase, you can probably use it as a chest mount if you have bag straps! N.b. you need another link to get the right angle for a front POV position. Top mount looks a bit silly IMO - not aero.Edit: dropped a star as GoPro refused to let me claim lifetime warranty

The mount you need for a mountain bike helmet
If you want a decent helmet mount for mountain biking then stick with the official GoPro mounts like this one. It's easily secured to any mountain bike helmet with vents (99% of whats on the market these days) by making sure the mount is central and then threading the straps through the vents accordingly to secure in place. Any excess on the straps can just be tucked away back through the vents so you don't have straps flapping around as you bomb down the mountain.Make sure you use the vibration reducer (little white rubber thing) that comes with your GoPro to ensure the most stable footage possible whilst mountain biking.

Does the job.
It does function really well, it’s just a bit difficult to install

Holds the Light
Use it to hold a bike light when mountain biking and it does a surprisingly good job of holding the light stable. I expected the mount to slide on the helmet or wobble but it does nothing of the sort. My intent was to remove it when not in use, but it is enough work to uninstall and reinstall that it will probably live on my helmet going forward. More practice might help speed up the installation. One knock is it didn't come with the adapter that snaps into the mount, which I didn't realize until it was delivered; a more thorough review of the listing might have made that obvious. Overall happy with the performance.

Nog uit te testen deze zomer
Ziet er goed uit. Het is een degelijk riempje dat er stevig uitziet. Ik heb het echter nog niet op mijn fietshelm kunnen gebruiken maar ik zie geen probleem.
