Huy Fong Sambal Oelek Ground Chili Paste - 8 oz x 2 bottles

Sriracha is so popular these days, but this chili paste (same company as the original sriracha) is so much more flavorful. Id choose this over sriracha any time. It’s shelf life once opened seems shorter. Keep it well sealed, and it lasts pretty well.

I go through a lot of this, so I was pleasantly surprised at Amazon’s price on it. At my regular grocery store, it costs as much for a single jar as Amazon charges for the 2-pack! It came well sealed, and of course the Huy Fong brand is known for quality. I can sub sriracha in a pinch, but since the recipes I use it in already include a fair bit of garlic, this saves me having to adjust the amounts. Very happy with this purchase.

Have been using Sambal Oelek for the last seventy years, probably before your company was established. It was/is a normal condiment in Holland together with all the other Indonesian (rijstafel) spices. We always used the (Conimex) brand, but that is normal in Holland. Your product is very similar in taste and consistency, and I am totally satisfied with it. Hope you don't change it.
