Love, love, LOVE this lipstick! It looks so beautiful on, and it stays on very well.

I saw the beautiful red shade in the photo and ordered this product. The box is cute with a label that tells you the year the color and formula of this product was worn. The shade is so beautiful. I love the unusual shape of the lipstick itself, which is very clever. You can use it to perfect the lipstick application. Instructions for applying it are included. Follow them and believe me it makes the lipstick last longer on your lips. It did not run, and lasted until dinner time. It is a bit matte and I do not mind. It does not feel drying. The lipstick is encased in a bullet shaped gold case that has writing that looks like calligraphy on it. A beautiful addition to my vanity. I felt beautiful wearing it and as nostalgia buff, I loved knowing it was worn by beauties in the 1920s. I so recommend it. I will buying more of this brand, Besame Cosmetics. Besame means kiss me in Spanish.

I never wear red lipstick, but bought this for a photo shoot and had to try it immediately. My first impression was how it went on unbelievably even and smooth, it felt creamy and light, the color is a softer, true red, and it fit my coloring (dark blonde, medium/light skin tone and blue eyes). The real test was throughout the day. When I initially put it on, there was transfer to my coffee cup so I blotted it with paper. After that, no more transfer. Though it didn’t stay a strong red, I still had color on my lips at 8 pm when I applied it at 9am. The biggest surprise was, at 50, I have a few wrinkles around my lips so I expected at least a little feathering, but there was NONE! All in all, I would say, this is the perfect lipstick. You may have to do a touch up to take it in to the evening, if you wanted, but that’s to be expected with a true lipstick. After using the product, I received a note from the seller about the user and care of my product, too, which I appreciated. Not only will I make Bessame my go to lipstick, I will use the same seller for other colors.

I usually stay away from traditional lipsticks since they aren't long wearing, but decided to try it. 9 hours later, it's still going. There is some feathering, but I used a lip liner, so may be worse without using a lip liner. Color is still vibrant. I did eat and drink today and there is some wear and tear on it from using straws and eating. It isn't very moisturizing though, and can feel gritty after a while. Reapplying another layer for touch up does make it feel grittier and thick. Probably would be good to remove and reapply, I just want to see how long it would go. Shape of the lipstick takes some getting used to with application but not a deal breaker. Over all, I love it.

I purchased Dusty Rose along with Victory Red and Red Hot Red, fully expecting to like the reds better since that's the color I usually wear. To my surprise I fell in love with Dusty Rose after the first day, and it's now my favorite color! After applying two coats it was darker than I had expected, but very flattering. It's wonderfully pigmented and its staying power is a bit better than Victory Red and Red Hot Red, but don't expect it to last through a meal. You'll definitely need touch-ups throughout the day if you eat/drink, but otherwise the vividness lasts the majority of the day. The best part of this lipstick (IMO) is how moisturized my lips still feel after wearing it all day. I loathe the feeling of dry lips, and my previous lipsticks dried them out terribly. The beautiful color, semi-matte finish, and moisturizing properties of these lipsticks will keep me coming back to Besame!

Not too deep like a dark red. Has slight hues of pink! Perfect color choice for me! It’s a ‘happy’ red. Soft and moisturizing. Can’t beat the price. I bought 2. One for purse and one for my home makeup tray.

I ordered this lipstick in the shade “Red Velvet” after seeing it around online in various vintage themed reviews, and hearing that it was the color they used for Peggy Carter’s iconic red lipstick. The color itself is a beautiful bright red, and the packaging is absolutely lovely. Aside from those two factors, I am greatly disappointed by the product. The formula smears worse than any other lipstick I’ve had- it doesn’t dry on the lips the way most lipsticks tend to, and remains a strange tacky texture on the lips for hours after application. This causes it to get everywhere, and it leaves bright red transfer stains on anything it touches, so if you happen to accidentally brush a finger on it, it transfers all over your skin, clothes, ect. Overall, the color and packaging are nice, and it is great for a one-time photo, but if you are looking for a durable, long-lasting lipstick, this isn’t the lipstick for you. I would recommend colorpop’s “Snow White” lipstick as a dupe of the Red Velvet color if you are looking for a cheaper alternative with a much longer-lasting formula.

I’m obsessed with this brand of lipstick it is creamy great quality and if you love history and make up than this is your brand go get it

I love Besame Cosmetics for their historical approach to makeup. This lipstick is incredibly pigmented, creamy and the Red Velvet Shade is a perfect, rich everyday red on me. I've finally found a lipstick I can call my signature!

I love this red shade, it is so vivid and elegant! A bit drying on the lips and quite small item.
