Q: how big is this? surely not 7inches like the descrip says

Open the size as wide as the seat, the folding size is only 7*6.3*0.5 inches. It folds so small and will fit in a carry-on bag, like a portable bed for kids.

Q: What is the max weight supported?

If you are flying Southwest they provide these on the flight for free. I didn't know this until after I made the purchase.
